A Host of Recurring, Annoying Issues: Related or Not?

It seems each week a new irritation is popping up. I have no idea if they are related, if it is High Sierra-based, that my computer is over three years old, or what. 1. I am constantly receiving “failure to deliver” messages in Apple Mail, ostensibly from Apple, for emails that do go through.

Trying to connect to the iOS 11 webinar and cannot connect on either my iPhone or the Mac. On the Mac I keep getting a “connection list” — but I’ve never connected, and on the iPhone it just hangs, saying “Wait” for about a minute, then goes back to the original connect screen. Christine --

In a nutshell: My automatic update did not work, though I received a notification and authorized the download. I tried rebooting I tried manual downloading. I tried clearing my history and attempted downloading again. The only updates shown when I go to the update tab in the App Store
