the playlist browser or anything at all, Itunes hangs and then force-
quits. Can someone tell me how to fix this? All my music's still
there, but I can't get Itunes to play any of it. What's the fix?

Did not know that--thanks! When I force-quit it the third or fourth
time, I choose relaunch, and it asked me for the library. There was
no better choice, so I stuck with Itune library. After a few more
quits and relaunches, it now works, although a problem report was
generated and sent
This update fixed the problem I was having with Itunes freezing when
entering the playlist browser or search box. I'm quite happy it's out.

Does Cepstryl say specifically that VoiceOver can plug these voices in
and use them as part of the screenreader? If not, have you tried
using them in Growl, at least? I remember Callie and Amy and a few
others were quite high quality, but slowed down my older PC laptop
something fierce,
Are they supported in Leopard, without the Snow? :)

I'm trying to use Last.FM. The downloadable client app is apparently
not VO friendly at all. However, I shouldn't need it; I set Itunes to
be the default internet playback source, but it's not behaving that
way when I go to last.fm. What am I not getting here?

seems you have to be interacting with the songs table before the VO
Shift M context menu comes up... so go to songs table, interact with
it, then select tracks, context menu should then work. It doesn't

I think you're looking at the modular power adapter thing. The big
square thing, (Wall wart) has a piece that removes which contains the
prongs for a standard wall socket; once you remove that little piece
(Don't lose it! as I keep almost doing :) ) you plug the end of the
power cord
I'm already running such a business, although I offered both Mac and
PC training. Ironically, the one client I now have needs PC training,
though I guess that by now I'm more comfortable (at least on a daily
basis) with the Mac. *shrug* It's hard to compete with services
offered for free,
How is this done? I need to insert a hard page break in TextEdit in
order to follow manuscript guidelines.

I just used IPhoto the other day to do just what you said--crop and reduce the
size of some photos. I used an older version as I haven't upgraded to ILife
11, but it worked all right for me.

If the sign in button is dimmed, perhaps Skype doesn't think it's connected to
the net. The other possibility is that you haven't put your user name or

No, you can only interact with one table at a time. Once you select the choice
from the table you want, say Mark's Signature for Gmail, you stop
interacting, and move on to the next table or space where you put in the
signature text.

I wonder, can you use Items Chooser menu to search for from? I wonder if
that might be easier, at this point, than navigating to it, until navigation is
more second nature?

I second that confusion; I even got the Confirm Email, but since I don't have

Hi, listers. Just as it says, I have some WMA files I want to convert to MP3.
I have VLC, but I do not understand it well, and don't know how its conversion
works, if it has one. Either explicit instructions or another method, I'd love
to hear about.
