A quick solution could be to run the Table Manager mbx. It allows you to tag a table
with some metadata, though not in user defined fields...
I would like to add a documentation feature to my .tab files that would allow users
who are interested to see:
?Who created a file;
?When
the original set
of 100.)
Also, what's the quickest way to sort a table by a column? Can this be
done without outputting a "select" query into a new table?
TIA

I've been vexed for some time by various raster images not aligning

answer: I'd been using tfwread.mbx to import the tiffs. This was
apparently a bad move.

o idea why this is, but
as long as you download the file as "ponet.e00" and translate it with
ArcLink, then it should work fine (at least from my experience). Once the
files are in MIF or TAB format, then you can do Table - Rename and you can
change "ponet" to whatever name you want.

All,
Is there a way to use MapMarker to reverse geocode and give out
zip+4 information given the facility's lat and long coordinates?
I'd like to update the zip field and am confident of the lat and
longs. To build a table of all possible zip+4 values and geocode
that, is HUGE and time consuming.

Thanks to all those who responded. Several suggested that the crash was
caused by a bug with VM; UT would work with VM not running. A patch was
created for the bug and is included in recent versions of MI. I am using MI

Today's solution:

I have performed this task with programmes written in C but was
wondering if
anybody knows of a way to do it within MapInfo and Vetical Mapper.
