I don't know what these are worth but I'd say half that ask at best?

Cosmetically it looks pretty nice, seller did a good job cleaning it up. Even
the seats are not the worst I've seen.
Is there a hose or duct missing on that air intake? I'd expect to see it run to
the front of the car.
Paint and interior look decent at least from what is shown and assuming photos
are current. Fix the rotted rubber fuel hose or whatever is leaking and drive
it or flip it.

Give the kid the S500. There is nothing so entertaining as tooling around in a

If you do get it for under $5k, that is a pretty good score. It sounds like it

Might have a chance to get a 1984 380SL from the second owner. 160k, 10k in the

Hi Dan,
There are lots of deals out there with R107s (I just bought a 450SL today,
in fact). You have to be careful with resale value of a high mileage car.
With your talent of being able to improve these cars both cosmetically and
mechanically, you're probably best off finding a car in need of

About 250,000 made. No shortage.
As far as 380SLs... they're not very powerful, as you know, but the

my
opinion.

I once read that the trunk of the R107 was designed to hold two golf bags
full of clubs - if that helps. It's not very tall, but plenty wide and deep
