Apparently they last just long enough to get through warranty because

From the looks of the hose in the EPC, it's actually two hoses with a tee of
some sort in the middle. There are also a number of complex bends in it as
well, which may seem minor, but if not correct will make replacement a b*tch,
to say the least.
