My '83 300D has 162K miles on the trans -- the first winter I had the
car it had some flaring in the low gears when the trans was cold,
which was cured by Mobil-1 ATF. Then about 5000 miles ago the B2
piston failed (actually the flaring could have been an early symptom
of that problem).
Does this vary by state? Here in Indiana, the owner of the at-fault
vehicle is responsible. E.g. if I loan my car to a friend, and he
causes an accident, the claim goes to *my* insurance, not his.

On one of the American Chopper episodes they put a Dixie Chopper
engine in a motorcycle.

I hope it's bigger than the 15hp Kubota in the Cub Cadet 782D.
We had a Kubota B7100 with a 750CC 3 cyl diesel, and later bought

Yes, I am sure the discussion at McDonald's headquarters went
something like this:
What's the matter, Ron?
Well Don, we've run flat out of ideas on how to scr*w our customers.
No problem Ron, I've been working on a new idea on how we can burn
them with our coffee!
Wow! Sounds great, Don!
That's the case in my 300D, the speedo reads 2 - 3 mph higher than
any of my other cars, based on a school zone radar sign that displays
your speed as you drive past.

Maybe his odometer is not correct, maybe its too fast
At home I used to use a pour-over filter/funnel with a vacuum bottle
and pour in boiling water from a kettle. Now I use a small
percolator, which also works by boiling the water. Makes a nice
tasting brew, though you do tend to have a few stray grounds in the
bottom of your cup.
Yes, news
This morning, the 300D was cold-soaked to to about 5 degrees (F). M1
15W-50 oil. Glowed twice, and tried to start following the procedure:
throttle to the floor, and don't stop cranking until the battery dies.
After about 20 - 30 seconds the starter seemed to be turning slightly
faster but still
Needing new tires, and thinking that since my speedo reads a little
fast, maybe I have the wrong size on there currently.
What is the correct size for an '83 300D, with the stock bundt wheels?

Coffee in a covered styrofoam cup will stay hot for a LONG time. Much
longer than coffee in an uncovered ceramic mug or even most
automobile-style travel mugs. Adjust your expectations accordingly.

I think on the smaller screens, 720P is quite adequate as your eyes
probably can't resolve any more pixels anyway, from a bedroom

choice.
I think plain old NSTC is just fine. HDTV
