I just received this little 33g Sikhote-Alin from Ivan. While
meteorite impact pits is something that sounds normal, how about on the
meteorite itself?!? It has what looks like an 'impact pit' in the surface of the
meteorite. It also shows orientation or flight markings but look

Actually, my home state rare ataxite Willow Grove was also
ploughed up. It even has the plough marks across the surface. If I'm not
mistaken, I think Richfield was also found the same way!

is formally classified as being a CH (petrologic type 3) chondrite and S3, W2.
However, I've seen it listed on many websites as a CH-BEN (Metal rich
Bencubbinite). I thought that CB or Bencubbinites are now a separate
