connect the phone to the desktop PC and copy the contents of the phone memory
to a folder on the desktop and later delete them on the phone.

I do recall in equaleyes shell there is a dicta phone app which is accessible.
I vaguely remember there is an app for recording in Eyesfree project. Do check
in there as well.

I too installed and was disappointed with it. I understand some integration is
pending with Talkback. Until then, I will not recommend for its use.
On IOS it was done especially for blind persons, It got ported to Android now,
but it does not give the useful feedback which is expected of it.
