When I first bought from Heritage, I thought the settlement process was really
difficult and thus very unpleasant. I really did not like it one bit.
But lately, I do nothing now after an auction I won ends and they just send it
to me about a week later. They have my card details, address and
I agree with that wholeheartedly. Also the seemingly continuing change
of personnel at the billing department slows things down. Before
thanksgiving I sent my latest cc info, but it is still not processed.

If Jaime was smart enough to make those virtually-indistinguishable
forgeries, he was smart enough to know what was being done with them.
Admission that he made multiple copies of the same poster is evidence

Bruce,
Perhaps I'm being overly critical, but it seems to me that what Jaime
did was actually worse than what Kerry did. Jaime enabled Kerry. After
all, if Jaime had not made the forgeries for him, then Kerry wouldn't
have had any practically perfect fakes to sell to his victims. To say

Bruce actually brings up a point that has interest for me. Could anyone who is
familiar with the complaint(s) tell me if there is any information about
whether judges have been assigned? Also, if that has happened, are any of them
set to be jury trials or bench trials or have any waivers been

There is indeed a judge in the case (for Gresham), and she heard arguments

The next Court date is scheduled for February 22nd.
My personal belief is that the 22nd date will not happen, as the FBI

I think what you're missing is that this restorer is NOT on trial. He's

I don't know Debi well at all but, in the past, have had some nice

I don't know how much the poster in question cost but strictly out of wondering
how one would handle a certain situation. I ask the following...

As a business you have insurance for just this reason. The question here is was
the item returned to Debi or is the buyer waiting for the refund before they
return the item. I'm sure you see the problem.

Please see having had the fake in hand for your answer to that.
Carol Tincup had it for months (because Debi had never asked for it), but Debi
had it in her hands two days after the news broke.
So I don't really see the problem.

I've been in that situation and have often told a customer making a large

OK, that makes sense. Thanks for letting me know.
Obviously having not heard Debi's side we can speculate all we want on her

If she does, in fact, have the piece there's got to be a good reason why she
won't refund the money. Would the piece have been confisicated by law
I do want to add that it's worth the wait from Heritage because they pack

I saw these listed. Was it typical to blow up an image painted 14 1/4 X 6

Seems like painting that much detail at that size would be difficult -- not to
mention the loss of clarity when enlarging it that much.
