I have the RPMs compiled with opengl_vsync turned off. Let me know if you

I have been unable to get ffmpeg to work properly when transcoding shows.
However, transcode works marvelously for me. The problem is that I can't get
transcode to take input from the audout and vidout streams produced by
mythtranscode. I'm sure it's just a problem of having the right settings

I've managed to record DVB Radio in 0.17.
By setting myth to record TS rather than PS's, and setting it NOT to wait
for SEQ start header, myth will happily record a transport stream of the
radio station audio. The slight downside is that the TS recordings for

Hi All,
I'm just one more crazed soccer fan who is getting frustrated not
being able to watch soccer games live from the comfort of my own home,
and so I've decided to look for a solution which brought me to MythTV.
I currently run RedHat 9.0 on my desktop and I'm looking at purchasing

Cory,
Could you post the full details of what you do to take a recording and
convert it to a video DVD?
I had a thread going in mid-December about this. Basically,
encapsulate the MPEG2 in an AVI format with 'mencoder -oac copy -ovc
copy.' Load it in avidemux and rebuild B frames. Resave
Thanks Nezar, I have managed to get something up on the VFD screen now. It
appears to display some jibberish - perhaps there is some kind of problem with
the character set being displayed. Have you experienced this? There is also a
little lag with scrolling text where the screen is not
Here's a small patch that might help. It's not in the official code
because it can cause other problems, mainly sluggishness in other
areas, if your system isn't fast enough.
Thanks. I actually use packages and do not compile myself, so I will
wait for this to be incorporated into a version
