Thank you for the help on the signal stems. Everyone on this site has been a
big help to me getting my '85 650 in shape again. Do you know where I can
get instructions or a manual on how to rebuild the carburetors? I let my 650
sit too long and it is running rough. I tried gas additives/treatments
Of course the clymer manual would be a good purchase. But, if you're
new to repairs of this type (car/motorcycle) this may not be the
easiest first project for you, and you may want to just take the bike
into a shop.

The turn signal stems can be found from JC Whitney. They look just like the
stock on the outside, but you have to bore out the center just a touch to
get the 3wires of the front blinkers through. The two wire rears fit just
fine.

Did you have torn slide diaphragms? Other than bowl gaskets and o-rings for the
transfer tubes there isn't much to replace. I'd say that most PPL do their
carbs for the price of a can of carb cleaner.
