Saya melihatnya dia mengembangkan network supaya bisnisnya bisa maju. Dengan menjadi CEO PLN, network dia akan berkembang, kenalan baru di pemerintahan akan membawakan profit di masa depan. CEO paling lama 3-5 tahun, sesudah itu diganti lagi. Lumayan kan kalau bisa dapet bisnis dari budget pemerintah. So, duit gaji CEO pln yang mungkin sekitar 100-200 jt/ bulan, ndak ngaruh buat dia. Yang lebih dia minati adalah sebenarnya aktualisasi diri, sebagaimana teori maslow, kebutuhan paling puncak. Crude prices close in on $75 per barrel because of the weakening US dollar * On 11:12 am EDT, Tuesday October 13, 2009 NEW YORK (AP) -- Oil prices neared new highs for the year Tuesday as the dollar slipped against other major currencies, demonstrating how much the weakened U.S. currency can affect consumers globally. The U.S. dollar index, where the U.S. currency is measured against other major currencies, hit a 14-month low Tuesday. Because crude is bought and sold in dollars, it essentially becomes cheaper for international investors who have flooded into energy markets despite a big surplus of oil. Energy experts expect the government will report Wednesday that crude supplies are still growing, but that does not appear to be a deterrent for many investors because the dollar is so weak. Benchmark crude for November delivery gained 62 cents to $73.89 on the New York Mercantile Exchange. At one point, prices reached $74.47, just short of the yearly high of $75 reached on Aug. 25, when the driving season was still in full swing. Prices have now risen for four straight days and a barrel cost 4 percent more than it did one week ago. Natural gas, which is not sold only in dollars, tumbled 25.7 cents to $4.623 per 1,000 cubic feet on Nymex. Crude has traded between $65 and $75 for months as traders look for signs of an economic recovery. On Tuesday, OPEC said China and other developing countries would push global oil demand up slightly next year, but said any recovery would be slow and weak. Oct. 1 (Bloomberg) -- Crude oil is poised to enter a “bullish channel” and test resistance at the mid-$70-a-barrel level after rising the most in almost six months yesterday. If prices close above $71.55 a barrel, oil is set to test resistance at $75.89, according to a technical analysis by Stephen Schork, president of consultant Schork Group Inc. in Villanova, Pennsylvania. Crude oil for November delivery rose $3.90, or 5.9 percent, to settle at $70.61 a barrel yesterday on the New York Mercantile Exchange. “If you are bearish you’ve got a problem right now,” said Schork. “If the channel holds we’ll get a re-test of the low to mid-$70s, which is where resistance has held since the summer.” The November contract reached a high of $75.89 on Aug. 6, and stalled at levels above $75.50 four other times in August. Sept. 24 (Bloomberg) -- Crude oil fell to a one-month low after a government report of a larger-than-forecast gain in U.S. fuel supplies signaled that a glut is forming in the world’s biggest energy-consuming country. U.S. gasoline stockpiles surged 5.41 million barrels last week, more than 10 times what was forecast by analysts in a Bloomberg News survey. Inventories of distillate fuel, a category that includes heating oil and diesel, rose 2.96 million barrels, almost double what was estimated. Crude-oil supplies also climbed in the week ended Sept. 18. “We had three major stock builds and increases in the year-on-year surplus,” said Peter Beutel, president of trading adviser Cameron Hanover Inc. in New Canaan, Connecticut. “We are testing support and will have to see if we can break out of the recent range.” Crude oil for November delivery fell $2.69, or 3.9 percent, to $66.28 a barrel at 10:27 a.m. on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Futures touched $65.79, the lowest level since Aug. 17. Prices have ranged between $65 and $75 since July 31. The drop in oil prices accelerated after the dollar climbed against the euro. A rising U.S. currency dims investor demand for commodities as a hedge against inflation. The U.S. Energy Department report showed crude inventories rose 2.86 million barrels, to 335.6 million barrels, the biggest increase since the week ended July 24. Analysts had expected a 1.4 million-barrel decrease. The gain left stockpiles 9.1 percent above the five-year average. ‘Extremely Bearish’ “There’s no question that yesterday’s report was extremely bearish,” said Rick Mueller, a director of oil markets at Energy Security Analysis Inc. in Wakefield, Massachusetts. “It fell enough to break through some support lines, which got the attention of the technical guy.” The November contract broke below the 100-day moving average of $69.53 yesterday, a signal to so-called technical traders that prices will move lower. Futures have gained 49 percent this year on speculation global fuel consumption may recover as economies emerge from the recession and as a weakening dollar encourages investors to purchase commodities as an inflation hedge. “There comes a point when you have to pay attention to the fundamentals,” Mueller said. “‘There has been a lot of talk about green shoots, but we are still shedding jobs and oil demand is still going to drop by 2 million barrels this year.” Global oil consumption will drop 1.9 million barrels a day to 84.4 million this year, according to an International Energy Agency report released on Sept. 10. Brent crude for November settlement dropped $2.55, or 3.8 percent, to $65.44 a barrel on the London-based ICE Futures Europe exchange. The contract touched $64.97, the lowest since July 17. Oil Options Hit Highs as Verleger Predicts 44% Plunge Published: 21 Sep 2009 (BloombergTV) -- Oil traders are paying more than ever in the options market to protect against a plunge in crude prices. The gap between prices of options betting on a decline and those that would profit from a rise in oil widened to a record 10 percentage points, according to five years of data compiled by Banc of America Securities-Merrill Lynch. Crude stockpiles in the U.S. are 14 percent larger than a year ago and OPEC is pumping 600,000 barrels a day more than the world needs, according to the International Energy Agency. While the recovery from the first global recession since World War II pushed oil up 62 percent this year to $72.04 a barrel in New York, growth alone isn’t likely to erode the glut by the end of next year because production exceeds demand, data from the Paris-based IEA shows. A drop in prices would penalize companies from Exxon Mobil Corp. to BP Plc and exporters Russia and Saudi Arabia. “If ever there was going to be a retreat below $60 a barrel, it is now,” Stephen Schork, president of consultant Schork Group Inc. in Villanova, Pennsylvania, said in a telephone interview. “It was a very weak summer. Demand for puts may be caused by speculators betting on lower prices or by producers hedging against a decline in the value of their oil, Tchilinguirian said. Oil inventories totaled about 2.8 billion barrels at the end of July within the 30 nations of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, according to the IEA. The total is equal to 62 days of demand, and 4.6 percent more than the same time last year. Brimming Stockpiles Supplies are brimming on both sides of the Atlantic. U.S. distillate fuel inventories, which include heating oil and jet fuel, are the highest since 1983 at 167.8 million barrels, according to the Energy Department. U.S. gasoline supplies are 2.2 percent greater than they were in late May, the start of the peak-demand summer driving season, at 207.7 million barrels. Gasoil stockpiles, the European equivalent of heating oil, near Europe’s refining hub of Rotterdam reached a record 3.03 million tons (23 million barrels) on Sept. 10, according to PJK International BV of Oosterhout, the Netherlands. More than 60 million barrels of fuel is stored on tankers offshore, according to the IEA. “There’s all this heating oil with no place to go,” Philip Verleger, a professor at the University of Calgary and head of consultant PKVerleger LLC, said in a phone interview. “I’m fairly certain we’ll see prices in the $30s this year.”

Yah supprise data nih, selama 1 bulan lebih data mingguan oil inventory naik. Apa yang terjadi? Data kegiatan manufacturing di hari jumat ada kenaikan aktifitas pabrik amerik. (naik 0..5% menjadi 68.5%). Kenaikan ini mungkin memicu aktifitas transport, pengiriman barang. Amerik memakai truck dan kerata api dalam jaringan network transport mereka. Kereta api amerik masih diesel... Jadi ada kemajuan nih amerik. METAL Oil naik, support tembaga yg sempat terjun bebas 6,000 turun sampai 5,800 an akhirnya kembali. Nickel, ngak turun banyak kemarin. Memang sebelumnya nickel naik sampai 21000an kembali ke 19200. Kemarin nickel turun ke 18500 dan bertahan antara 18800 - 18500. Pagi ini 19100. Nickel bertahan dan ada kemungkian menguat kembali kalo minyak dan shanghai ngak turun. China (shanghai index) Kemarin hedge fund yg jual habis2an di umumkan. Tgl 28 Juli mulai nya. Hedge fund ini di puji (sambil di kritik). Sejak 28 july Shanghai index turun 20%. Padahal investor nya 50% retailer. Investornya ada lah ibu2 rumah tangga. Biasanya beli saham dengan feeling2 aja dan tidak melihat ekonomi data. Adapun Cuma dari telinga ke telinga...(kayak indo nih) HARI ini Shanghai naik. Shanghai naik, Asia naik, Indo naik... Dulunya INDF adalah saham selalu tertidur pulas, hanya produknya di saat itu tak banyak saingannya khususnya mie instant. Disaat ini persaingan baru di mie instant sangat banyak, maka itu INDF cepat menambah bisnisnya di sektor lain yaitu CPO dimana INDF mengakuisisi LSIP. Setelah masuk ke LSIP, maka roda bisnis INDF sdh membaik dan sahamnya INDF boleh dikatakan ikut naik juga. Oil Shares at Deepest Discount Signal Recession's End (Update1) By Rita Nazareth and Michael Tsang July 20 (Bloomberg) -- The cheapest valuations in at least 14 years are making oil companies too alluring to pass up for UBS AG and Guggenheim Partners LLC, even though earnings in the industry may fall 48 percent this year. Oil and gas producers in the MSCI World Index traded at $7.84 per dollar of profit this month, less than half the average of $17.10 in the gauge of developed markets and the widest gap since at least 1995, data compiled by Bloomberg show. UBS, Guggenheim and Cohen Steers Inc. are buying stocks from Exxon Mobil Corp. to Transocean Ltd. because an economic rebound will lift the industry after it generated at least 50 percent more profits than any other group in the past year. Recovering energy shares may signal an end to the 42 percent drop in the MSCI World since October 2007 and the first global contraction in six decades. Rallies in oil and gas stocks marked the end of the last five U.S. recessions based on average returns, according to Ned Davis Research Inc. Energy will be one of the industries that lead us out, said Scott Minerd, who oversees more than $100 billion as chief investment officer at Guggenheim in Santa Monica, California. Shares are cheap and attractive. It's a very good time for investors to buy the group betting on stronger demand for commodities and a rebound in earnings. The MSCI World added 0.2 percent to 984.48 as of 6:53 a.m. in London, with a measure of energy shares in the index rising 0.3 percent. Crude oil climbed above $64 a barrel in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Exxon, Chevron Minerd is boosting holdings even as analysts predict the global slump in energy demand will cause per-share earnings at energy companies in the MSCI World to drop to $13.36 from $25.74 in 2008, share-adjusted data compiled by Bloomberg show. Profits at Exxon Mobil and San Ramon, California-based Chevron Corp., the two biggest U.S. oil companies, and BP Plc, the second-largest in Europe, will fall at least 50 percent, according to per-share estimates compiled by Bloomberg. Exxon and Chevron reported record earnings last year, while BP's was within 6 percent of an all-time high. Along with Royal Dutch Shell Plc, they made up four of the five most-profitable companies in developed countries during the past 12 months, data compiled by Bloomberg show. Their shares are trading at the steepest discounts on record because investors are still shocked by the 78 percent plunge in crude prices. While oil is up 43 percent this year, it fell as low as $32.40 a barrel in New York on Dec. 19 from a record $147.27 one year ago. `Rear-View Mirror' The Paris-based International Energy Agency estimates that the global recession will slash worldwide oil demand by 2.8 percent this year. Lower profits have prompted the Hague-based Shell, the largest oil company in Europe by market value, to put two refineries in northern Germany up for sale, and it may close or sell another plant in Montreal. Without increased demand, energy shares won't beat the stock market's performance, said E. William Stone, who oversees $96 billion as chief investment strategist at PNC Financial Services Group Inc.'s wealth management unit in Philadelphia. Energy shares are not necessarily cheap, especially looking at the past 12 months of earnings, said Stone. You're looking at the rear-view mirror at much higher oil prices. That may mislead you. Valuations for energy companies are 54 percent below the average for the MSCI World, almost twice the gap of any other group, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. On a per-share basis, energy companies generate almost 12 cents in profit for every shareholder dollar, the highest earnings yield among the 10 industries in the MSCI World. Depressed Valuations Exxon Mobil made $38.9 billion over the last four quarters and has never traded at a bigger discount to the world index's average, data compiled by Bloomberg show. The second-largest company by market value fetches 9.35 times earnings, 49 percent less than the average for the benchmark of 23 nations. Shares of Geneva-based Transocean, the world's largest offshore driller, are valued at 5.19 times profit, a 72 percent discount to the MSCI World. That's close to the widest gap since at least 1995, the data show. Those are bargains, said Mike Ryan, the New York-based head of wealth management research for the Americas at UBS Financial Services Inc., which oversees $590 billion. Energy shares were at depressed levels, said Ryan. As the economy gains some traction, commodity prices will recover and that will support the energy market and energy stocks. IBADAN, Nigeria (Dow Jones)Two major oil pipelines belonging to Royal Dutch Shell PLC (RDSA) have been attacked in different locations by a militant group in Nigeria's southeast Rivers state, a spokesman for the group said Sunday. Jomo Gbomo of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, or MEND, said in a statement that the Shell pipelines located at Adamakiri and Kula were attacked in the early hours Sunday. He said the Adamakiri pipeline was pounded at about 2:30 a.m. local time, before the Kula pipeline was attacked 30 minutes later. Officials of Shell and the military in the Niger Delta were not immediately available to comment on the attacks. If both attacks are confirmed, it will be the second time MEND fighters would have attacked and damaged Shell facilities in the Niger Delta in the past several days. MEND earlier in June claimed responsibility for the damage to Shell's TransForcados trunk line at Chamomile creek. Gbomo added in the statement that MEND had been reliably informed that the Chevron Corp. (CVX) airstrip in Escravos was used by the military as staging area for the jet fighters and helicopter gunships used in the attacks and bombing of civilian communities in Gbaramatu kingdom of Delta state. He said Chevron will pay a price in double measure for allowing its facilities to be used in committing atrocities against the host communities where it drills oil and gas. He said Chevron had repeated the same mistake by Shell against communities of the Ogoni. The Ogonis had prohibited Shell from carrying on oil exploration in their area in the Niger Delta due to alleged Shell atrocities against Ogoni people and environmental degradation. Earlier this month, MEND attacked and blew up oil wells owned by Chevron in southern Delta state. The movement said it attacked Chevron's Makaraba oil well 3 and 5, along with its trunk line and gas lifts, and the Otunana oil well 1, along with its gas lift trunklines. MEND and other militant groups in the Niger Delta have since February 2006 kidnapped local and foreign oil workers and damaged several oil and gas pipelines. They have succeeded in cutting Nigeria's oil export by around 1 million barrels, according to official estimates. The militants said they are fighting for a bigger share of the huge oil wealth from the region.
