we use firefox for development due all the addons (firebug, webdev etc).
personally i find its too big and kludgy for daily use (even with most of
the addons turned off). i feel chrome has the best javascript engine so far
and i perceive it to be more responsive than ff, also i like the
non-intrusi
my team uses firefox because of all the developer addons eg firebug
opera is important for html and javascript compliance checking
chrome is the most weird. but we do use it.

second to that and rising fast is javascript.
but as sweemeng points out, python is an attractive language and perhaps an
easier option compared to java for us to go into web, desktop and mobile
platforms.

My primary language is always PHP ..and a year ago I've started do some
coding in Ruby
I've done PHP for :
- portals
- processing incoming SMS via php cli
- using framework
Python..in other way..I use it for Symbian S60 application..I like the
language...but too litle time to invest

It is a long time since I actually use php, i would leave my comment on php
as minimal as possible.
Python code(in my personal opinion) is more readable that PHP, which is
important because you need that maintain your code
