Subject: tying jfw to a particular sound card
hi all, i've always had 2 sound cards on this system
Hi yall. Looking for suggestions on a sound card or audio interface (I guess
that's the newer term). Anyway I'm looking for something that will run in
windows 7, be accessible either through hardware controls or software that
works with WE screen reader. Also has to have midi capabilities
Let's hope I'm so blessed some day.- Original Message -

What Robert says will work if you have JAWS running in the system tray. If
not, when focussed on JAWS, you can press alt+U to go to
the Utilities Menu. The desired sound card should be in the Sound Cards
sub-menu. If it isn't, it might be turned off in BIOS and
you will need sighted help

Barry and Robert, Thanks for your help. It worked like a charm and
she is much happier now, and you know what a good thing it is to
keep the wife happy, right? Again, Thanks.

I'm trying to get the audio for Jaws onto a separate sound card that is
installed on my wife's computer. She is a medical transcriptionist and
would like the dictation in 1 ear and the Jaws in the other. I'm sure
there's a way to do that and any help would be appreciated./Thanks
