nero blu-ray burning

2016-02-02 Thread Les Gordon
does anyone on the list use nero for burning blu-ray content?
before when i would use nero video and add files to the project, then select do
not create a menu, each file would have its own chapter so you could skip from
1 file to the next. now when i make a recording it just creates one big file
without any chapter marks. does anyone have any suggestions? thanks les

I'm getting the impression that function keys start you in whatever function
you want. The problem for me at this time is that when I start NBR, I get
what looks like a splash screen and the only way I can punch through it is
to pick the option presented by Windows when it asks me what I want to do
such as play cd in WMP, etc. I can pick that and then the f keys let me go
wherever I want, but I resent it. I'm playing with the trial copy. I don't
want to buy the full package with lots of software I don't want to use. I
will look at Andrea's suggestions and see what's easiest to use. I remember
when Nero was a pleasure to use, but I also remember that tech support was
crap.

Go to www.blind-geek-zone.net and look in the audio section. It's one of
Rick Harmon's older shows, but he'll show you what to do. Unless you're
suggesting it's finally changed. I forget what the latest burning rom I

worked. Have you used Burning Rom before?

I'm guessing the answer is that nobody bothered to enter
the songs
into the database, although that seems nuts to me. You would sure as hell
think it'd be in there if one cd is in there, but I suppose anything is
possible.

What do you think of Nero 12 Platinum

Hi folks,
I’m supposed to setup a system for a friend. In fact a pretty cool one.

Now he uses Nero 10 or 11 for disk copying, data burning, and so on.
How does Nero 12 work with screen readers like Jaws?
I’d be really happy for answers from people who has actually tried it out.

Thanks in advance

Is anyone using Nero 12 with a screen reader? If the controls are not
standard, the menus are not readily accessible and the whole thing needs a

lot of mouse clicking, then the $35 price tag in the Black Friday deal is
still too high. I've already heard from one user that it is not as
accessible as earlier versions, so I suspect that Nero 12 has some of
these faults. Any comments from others who have tried it?

Artist And Title Using Nero Six

2011-09-13 Thread Tom
Is there a way to have Nero six use the song title and artist
information from the file name to write it on a CD? I
checked the box that says write text to CD but all it did was
write track 1, track 2 etc and for artist it says unknown.
The manual is a bit vague. There are edit boxes to enter
song title and artist for each track but that's a lot of work.

Thanks,

Tom

yes, select the files
press alt enter to open properties
control tab to summary
be sure that the greater than () is checked

an alternative method requires winamp
place the songs in te winamp playlist and press alt control g
this will give you an average track time and a total time for all tracks.

Need help with burning a video dvd with nero 6.

2010-10-02 Thread aadorno

choose video DVD and I take the videos that were filmed from my camera that I
already have on my hard drive and I go to the folder that they are in and I
copy them in to the part of Nero where they should go.
now here is my problem.
I put ten 5 minute videos on to this cd and I did the burn feature it works
almost but when it gets to 100 present the program tells me that it can not do
it. I have tried it over using less of the videos and still the same thing.
the DVD is empty so I do not know what to do.
can any one help me with this. I really want to put these shows on a DVD.

use to be a straightforward process of chosing the disk type and tabbing

2009-05-05 Thread Gary Wood
Hi All. The problem with getting a new version of Nero on a CD is that I can't
get to the store to get a new version of Nero on a CD. I can't get anyone to

Nero

2009-05-04 Thread Gary Wood
Hi All. I'm compelled to try this again: I'm sorry for the repeat, but in my
house, I've looked all over for the disk of Nero 5.5 that I purchased, but I
can't seem to find it anywhere. Someone told me that it's illegal to give out
this information, but I thought I got this from someone on this list about a
couple of years ago, but I could be mistaken. I had inadvertently uninstalled
Nero 5.5, and when trying to install it again, of course it asks for my serial
number on the Nero disk, but I can't seem to find it. I would like to
reinstall it because I liked the program, but since I can't find the disk, I
can't put in the needed serial number. I hope this isn't illegal to provide
this information, but if anyone who still may be using 5.5, could you email
that serial number, so that maybe I can install this. I could get Nero 9, but
I'm not sure how accessible this version is. I have a copy of Premier CD
Creator, but that seems to be a bit harder to use, since I've been used to
working with Nero. Windows has CD burning built in, but I think that many have
said that it's better to use software that's especially designed for this
purpose. I'm sorry for rambling, and I hope that what I'm asking for is not
illegal, but could someone please help, if possible? Thanks for any anyone can
provide. How do others obtain copies of their favorite CD burning software?

Re: Nero 5.5

2009-04-26 Thread Constantine

Hi,

What is being talked about and what you are talking about are two completely
different things. I might add here that jaws 10 already comes with scripts
for itunes - and your paying half of the price of an ipod nano 8 gb (or
more) to make a free peace of software accessible. 70 pounds = around 140
canadian dollars.

I've said enough on that already.

Re: Nero 5.5

2009-04-26 Thread Gary Wood
Thanks, Chris, and I appreciate that, but I don't really know where my Nero
CD is, and someone checked his Nero 5.5 and gave me his serial number, and
it worked. Apparently, I didn't install it, although I wasn't aware of it
at the time when I tried to burn a CD, and couldn't burn it; so if the
gentleman who gave me his number, and it worked then, if this gentleman or
someone else who's still using 5.5 could please give me his serial number, I
will try it again. I'm sorry for taking this much time on this, but I'm
trying to burn a CD so what I'm trying to burn doesn't languish on the
harddrive any longer, and clutter it up. One other question if I may:
What's the latest Version of Nero that's accessible with Jaws? I hear that
the newest version of Nero is Nero 9. Is this accessible? Maybe I'll have
to get a newer version of Nero, so I can get the serial number on that CD,
but I can't seem to find the 5.5 CD. It must have been misplaced, or I'm
going to have to look hard for it, because I couldn't find it before.

Probably the ones that say system requirements windows xp or vista.
*giggles*.
In all seriousness, I'd think starting from 7.0 or 8.0 should work. Not sure
if there's a 7.5, but if there is maybe start there.
I can personally say nero 8 works great on xp, and it probably supports
vista since it was released around the same time as vista to begin with.

Re: Nero with Vista

2009-04-01 Thread Bozenka Gogoláková

Helo,
I active use Nero7. It works properly on Win Vista. All ittems are active
through the keyboard. This version is very similar like Nero6. But I could
not use Nero6, because of the errors. I strongly recommend Nero7 and High. I
am satisfied with Nero7. Try it.

Subject: Nero with Vista

Hi there. I have a Vista system and I would like to install a version of
Nero that works on Vista and will Also work with Window-eyes and or System
Access. I would appreciate any suggestions concerning what I ought to buy.

If you think another CD burner might work better for me, I am open to
suggestions, but I do have specific needs. In my work, I need the option to
determine the length of silence between tracks. For instance, some of the
CDs that I burn for clients require track separation but 0 or 1 second gaps
between tracks. So, as well as being screen reader friendly and Vista
compliant I need to be able to dictate gap lengths between tracks.

If you feel that this discussion would not be of interest to the group in
general, please feel free to email me privately.

I would really appreciate any help you can offer, as this is one area where
Vista and I are having great difficulties in getting comfortable with each
other. And it is a decision that involves my work.

again, thanks very much in advance.

Vista ready CD burners other than Nero?

2009-04-01 Thread Larry
Hi there. I was, and I guess still am to a degree, considering purchasing
Nero 9. But after reading all of its features, most of which I will not use,
it's beginning to seem a bit like buying a GPS system to help me navigate
from my desk to the front door.

What I need is a good and reliable Cd burner that works well with screen
readers, lives comfortably on a Vista machine and maybe costs a bit less
than Nero's $79 price tag. I don't plan to burn DVDs be they Blue Ray or
standard. But I would like something that offers more than just basic CD
burning with no extras. Any suggestions on something that might be worth
considering?

Thanks for any thoughts you might have on the subject.

Re: question about nero and moving folders?

2009-03-23 Thread nick danger
Hi angel,

Not really sure if this will work or not but in nero's explorer window make
sure that it looks in drive h. When you save compilations it will always
look in drive C for them first you have to basically show and tell it where
the files are. Once it knows to look in drive h it should handle it without
any hitches. Hope this helps.

hi list I have Nero 6, and what I am planning to do is that I am going

drive is a lot bigger and I am running out of room on the c drive.
now here is my question. when I go in to Nero and I open one of the

but the other day I copied the folders that are on my c drive to my h drive.
then I deleted the folder that had the music on my c drive because it was on
my h drive. then I went to Nero and I opened the compilation of music that I
saved through Nero. it opened up, but Nero said it could not find the music
or something like that, Nero also said that maybe the music was moved and
that I should try again.
can any one tell me how do I tell Nero that it should go in to the H drive
to look for the music that was in the compilation that I created through
Nero. I would like the help because if not I am going to have to put all
the compilations together again by hand and that is going to be time
consuming.

making mixed CDs with Nero

2009-01-31 Thread Donald L. Roberts

I would appreciate it if some kind list member would provide
step by step instructions as to how to make a mixed CD using
either Nero 6 7 or 8. I would prefer using Nero burning
rom. I use version 7 but have access to other versions if
they are more accessible.

What I want to do is to make a small text file containing
the track titles and include this as the non CDA part of a
mixed CD.

Although I prefer using Window Eyes, I also have a demo of
JFW 10 if your instructions are better suited to Jaws.

Thanks in advance for feedback.

Hi okay I have Nero 7 it is the one with the start smart center and then
Nero express.

okay well now I am having an issue where.
If I like lets say go under one of my music folders on my computer and
make a lay out for burning on to a blank cd r for playing in my stereo or
in whatever cd player that I would like to play it in after it has been
made.
So I put all of the files that are all mp3s bye the way in the order that
I would like the to be on the disc.

then I burn the disc and then when it is finished.
I take the disc out and go to play it in a cd player.
And there are tracks there but no audio.
Now this seemed to have started since I was messing around to get the
johny Horton image file to burn in to an audio cd.

Witch again had all of the tracks but no audio.
It was like the tracks are the songs with no audio of the song on the
track.
But the tracks were there because the cd player was counting like it would
when you would put a store boughten disc in and were playing it.
So I took that disc and looked at it on the computer and all of the tracks
and titles of them were there just not the audio.
So can this be corrected with out a lot of hassle and what do I have to do
so that I can correct this?
Or should I just go in Nero 7's menus and find restore to defaults and hit
that?

Maybe that would fix it.
So all assistance and suggestions are welcome.
And thank you to everyone for any help I may get with this interesting
problem.

Hi yes I burn the disk with the stuff on my hard drive.
like I always do and it worked before and now it seems like something has
changed.

So is there something that I can change or reset to make it work again?
As I have said this only happens when I take stuff off of my hard drive and
burn it to audio cd's.

would when you would put a store boughten disc in and were playing it.
So I took that disc and looked at it on the computer and all of the
tracks and titles of them were there just not the audio.
So can this be corrected with out a lot of hassle and what do I have to
do so that I can correct this?
Or should I just go in Nero 7's menus and find restore to defaults and
hit that?

Maybe that would fix it.
So all assistance and suggestions are welcome.
And thank you to everyone for any help I may get with this interesting
problem.

nedding some nero seven assistance with a burning stuff off of my c drive issue

2009-01-15 Thread Casey
Hi okay I have Nero 7 it is the one with the start smart center and then
Nero express.

okay well now I am having an issue where.
If I like lets say go under one of my music folders on my computer and make
a lay out for burning on to a blank cd r for playing in my stereo or in
whatever cd player that I would like to play it in after it has been made.
So I put all of the files that are all mp3s bye the way in the order that I
would like the to be on the disc.

then I burn the disc and then when it is finished.
I take the disc out and go to play it in a cd player.
And there are tracks there but no audio.
Now this seemed to have started since I was messing around to get the johny
Horton image file to burn in to an audio cd.

Witch again had all of the tracks but no audio.
It was like the tracks are the songs with no audio of the song on the track.

And thank you to everyone for any help I may get with this interesting

well i need some help on an issue that I have discovered with nero and making cd's

2009-01-14 Thread Casey
Hi okay remember I was having one heck of a time trying to create that I so
file and then finally got it made and tried to burn it.

but yet had all kinds of problems with that part of it also.
Well hear is a strange one.
I tried to make an audio of songs off of my hard drive from a cd that I had
ripped to the hard drive like from two days ago.
Well okay so I went in to Nero seven and told it to make an audio cd like I
have done time and time again.

So then after I selected all of the tracks that I wanted to have in my disc.
OI went on to the finally burn settings.
there I selected what I wanted and told it to burn.
Now it burned the disc and then I took the disc out when it was finished and
put it in one of my cd players that works perfectly.

And again all of the tracks were there but no audio.
But now if I copy a cd it works fine.
So is something checked that is a digital mode somewhere or what could be
causing this?

I am using cd recordables and those are working also.
If I make a copy of a disc then the recorded works fine and plays fine also.
I only get all of the tracks and no audio on them when I create a cd and try
to burn that on to a cd recordable.

No I don't have my image recorder checked in Nero either.
So then is something muted that shouldn't be cause this only seems to happen
when I would like to take mp3 audio files that are on my c drive and burn
them to an audio cd and nothing else.

My suggestions on what to look in to/
I am running a windows xp home addition machine and window eyes 7.01 and a
sound blaster live sound card.

If that help any.
all assistance is welcome.

Re: need help with a strange issue with a cd I burned with nero

2009-01-12 Thread Gary Schindler
I would check the sampling and bit rate of the mp3 files. In Nero check and
see what write speed you are using. it may be to fast. have Nero verify the
disc while it is writing the disc. I get better results this way. lastly,
the brand of disc you are using may be at fault.when the disc is done
burning, try wiping the disc with a soft cloth to see if this helps when
trying to play it in a machine. I am finally getting used to Nero being a
Roxio user for years!

Hi okay I have burned to copies of this cd now.
Well make that three.
And I burned them all as an audio music cd cause it is an album that
someone had uploaded to the net and I got it and unzipped it.

And it plays on the computer just fine.
But burn it to a cd and it won't play any audio all of the tracks will be
there and it will act like they are playing.

But there will be know audio.
Now someone hear suggested doing something to turn them in to es files and
then using control b to burn that way.
Then how would that make that be able to then be played in my home cd
player?

This is the first an only cd that I have ever had this happen with.
It burns fine and completely but all the tracks and everything just no
songs to hear.
But the files are in mp3 format cause that is how the album was ripped
from whoever had it.
So can this be corrected and if so how and has anyone hear seen this
before?

I have tried three different kinds of disks hear with the same results.
All the rest of my stuff burns fine wither it is down loaded or not.
So why this one and what makes this happen just wondering?

creating in i so file with nero express

2009-01-12 Thread Casey

Hello okay I still have that burning one cd issue.
With that one cd that I can burn buy just adding the files on the hard drive
that someone has sent me.

It was suggested to make an I so file under new and audio.
well I have Nero version seven.
It has Nero express and Nero start smart.
It says click the button to switch to Nero burning rom.
but I don't see a button where to switch to that if I wanted to.
So then how do I go about creating the I so file and then making it so I can
burn it on to a cd for use in a home stereo cd player?

Re: creating in i so file with nero express

2009-01-12 Thread Gary Schindler
Casey, I enter Nero from the Smart start essentials. then I arrow down to
what type of project I want to do. sometimes you have to hit the more
advanced button with the spacebar for all the options to sho up. I select
audio CD, press the add button, brows to where I have my music I want to
burn, select each track with the spacebar, go to next. after hitting the
next button, a screen comes up for the final burn settings. you will find a
box that asks you what recorder you want to use. all the drives on your
computer that record to disc will b listed. at the top of the list is the
image recorder. arrow up to it, this will burn an ISO image to your hard
drive. proceed to burn. you should be asked to name the what is called the
NRG file I think it is. save it, bring up Nero express. select the type of
disc you which to burn. use your screen reader mouse function to find burn a
Cd image. left click on this. you may have to browse for your file. once you
do this, you will go through the procedure if the disc is in the proper
drive, it should burn the ISO file on to the disc for you.
I hope this helps you. I am kind of new to Nero myself. if anyone has a
better way, they might just tell you and me. I am getting used to Nero
though I have used Roxio for many years.

Help needed with Nero Express

2008-12-02 Thread DayStar Promotions

Hi Folks,

Well I'm not sure what has happened, but, once upon a time, I was
able to make several copies of my CDs by setting the number of copies
number. I can still do this, but now, Mero keeps the original cd in
the closed drive drawer and starts re-copying copy number two over
the same original CD. Another thing that is happening is that this
time when I start the burn process, I am asked what and where to name
the image file. I'm really not interested in saving anything on my
computer. Is there a way to keep Nero from bringing this save dialog
box up? I somehow think that Nero bringing up this save dialog box
is part of the problem I am having with being able to make several
copies at a time.

Wow! and thanks much.

John

not seeing my burn button after creating a cd to burn in nero express version seven

2008-11-01 Thread Casey

I have been burning some cd's of music off of my hard drive.
So I went to go and burn another and after I check the box that says rarify
data on disk after burning.

I only saw my back button and not my burn selection.
So how do I get it in Nero seven so that when I make an audio cd I can tell
it to burn?
Do I have to go in and reselect my cd burner or how do I tell Nero to use my
burner for burning a created cd it it isn't showing up in the select combo
box for what recorder to use for making the cd?
All help is welcome on this if you can understand what I am getting at with
this message.

I'm using Nero 9 with Window-Eyes and it seems to be very accessible.
The menus in Nero burning Rom speak correctly which was a problem in
early versions of Nero 8. I haven't tested it with JAWS but I think it
would work well with JAWS too. Also Nero Express is still very
accessible at least with Window-eyes.
