Dear PDMLers,
I subscribed again, and this time hopefully not for only a few
months...
I'm Gabor Sas from Hungary, with lots of Pentax 35mm SLR stuff in my

I also use lots of non-Pentax gear, the most important one being a

Hi,
I've got a 17/4.0 super-tak (I'd really like the SMC if I could find
and afford it) which is small, light, and fun to play with but I'm not
yet convinced it is all that sharp. The A16/2.8 is sharper, and a
little better designed in some ways.
Not to forget that russian Zenitar 2.8/16

Not a bad guess! :))
dr. is for doctor juris, Dr. for all the rest (PhD, medical).

I am planning to get a 1.4-S teleconvertor, mainly to use with my A* 300/4.

It can be used of course, but for these focal lengths the 1.4-L

Sorry, I didn't know that.
What a shame... Terrible... Nikonish... :(((

Are there any?

Hi,
I use this film regularly, most of my recent BW shots (think of 35mm
cameras; in MF I pefer more traditional ones like FP4, APX or
Fortepan) was XP2s.
I'd say that XP2 is a very special film. As others mentioned, it has
probably the widest exposure latitude of all films available today,
Hello PDMLers,
The homepage of the Hungarian Pentax importer (www.slach.hu) states
that MZ60 and *ist are the only 35mm Pentax SLR bodies in production,
the other models still in stock will run out this year.
Are they right?

I have a SMC-M 28/3.5 I use as my wide-angle prime, and I'm thinking of
getting an even wider one.
I had a Vivitar 24/2, then a Kiron 24/2, and now an SMC-A
