I was about to ask the same. I prefer Pentax because none has ever failed me.
All but 1 Nikon SLR I have had failed under moderate use (3 out of 4).

My 28-80 2.8 Tokina zoom is built like a tank and is better with film than with
digital. The zooms that really seem to have gone up in quality (optical and

The price is attractive, but the discontinued might have been premature

Today, I would not think twice about shooting raw unless the writing speed was
