the best thing, IMO, is the Full Time Manual Focus!!
(don't know how the pentax AF lens work, with the Tamron one I have
(17-34 2.8-4) I must switch the AF off every time I put it back in the
bag, otherwise I risk to break the AF system by accidentally turning

full frame, but maybe it's quality is too poor on the edge to qualify
it as a full frame lens.

AFAIK, at least for Canon, to remove the aperture ring, was one of the
steps toward a camera that can be commanded with just one hand (in
fact canon cameras have the most-used commands on the right-most part
of them).
Canon is aiming at nature photographers (among others), those who may
