There are programs/drivers that hooks onto the audio drivers and
captures all audio live. There are programs for broadcasting live
Internet radio. Maybe a combination of those and the ability of a
Squeezebox to play Internet radio is one possible solution...?

Hi,
I'm looking to write a plugin for the slimserver that listens on a serial
port and displays information on the squeezebox screen. I'm running 6.5.1,
and I was wondering if there was a good sample/example plugin I could use as
a starting point. I noticed one listed in the wiki, however the date

'Add' adds the track to the playlist but does not start playback.
I just 'Play'ed a track then 'Add'ed a few more with no problem.

Hmm, odd. I added one track and it started playing. I then added a few
more tracks while the first one was playing, and when the first one
ended, the next one wouldn't start playing. I clicked SKIP in the SS
and the next track started playing. Oh well, this is probably not the

the default search and very seldom use browse music). I just started to
use MusicIP and it would be great if it could also be used from the
resulting tracks found though LazySearch.

The wake on LAN function just works fine on my system. Now I'm looking
for a way to shutdown the computer my slim-server is running on via
remote. Is there a plugin available? I have searched, but found
nothing.
The optimal solutions would be a combination of
- Shutdown via remote control
You can add any file to a playlist as long as the path in the playlist
file is the one seen by slimserver.
If your music library is setup in slimserver as e.g. /mnt/music and you
have it mapped as e.g. G:\ on another computer slimserver will not
recognize any playlists created on the non-slimserve

I don't know. I guess it's mainly a question of development and support
ressources. Reduce complexity to reduce support requests. If you want to
leave a PC running for MIP, why not just have it run slimserver at the
same time?
