Can your script also include SBC wireless commands?
My SB3 receiver aren't next to each other sometimes when switching
the system on the SB3 will miss it's on IR command if the SBC is
pointed towards the receiver.

I've been doing a bit of thinking on how I could possibly learn codes
and was looking at the IRBlaster Plugin's learning
I've spent a few hours today setting up SqueezeIR and got to the stage
of getting it installed, menus coming up and it successfully switching
On my Sony STR-DB930 and choosing the correct input.
My trouble is I can't seem to get any of the other codes working,
volume up/down or power off.

using both of the methods that you specified (holding home or the 'All
On' menu item)? If you try a command that doesn't work, will power on
still work

You don't need to hack the file. Put the same file on both controllers
and select which is which from the 'Default Profile' setting in
SettingsSqueezeIR.

If you're talking about the SqueezeCenter irBalster plugin then you can
copy the lirc file that irBlaster creates onto your controller and get
SqueezeIR to use it by adding the remote into the xml file. You'll

-edit the xml file to a fair minimum: 4 button mappings all on hold
-use the lirc file captured by irblaster
-copy using scp (via fugu on a mac)

Bad news - It didn't control the Denon, but it did disable the volume
from the Duet receiver. So I assume something must be happening. I have
attached the messages file. I also took your advice had a look at the
XML and it seems a lot clearer now. So If you think averything is
'working'
The messages file looks good and the fact that your volume buttons got
disabled proves SqueezeIR is running. I guess therefore the lirc file
is the wrong one. You could try working through the files on the lirc
database until you find one that works (remember to edit the xml file to

I have a denon file from lirc site in the data folder. The app seems to
be operating in that the centre button makes 'space invader' type
noise!
However the menu structure in the Duet controller shows 'root item 1'

the subsequent button presses until you've left the room and are
otherwise disposed! Only once the buffer(?) has eventually cleared will
it accept another
