If there are 2 or more new images a scan for "new & changed files" only
seems to find the first image.
I certainly can't confirm that. It's processing whatever list is being
returned from the database, no matter the scan mode or how many items in
that list.

That works for normal albums but not so easy for a Various Artists album
- can you explain how the string manipulation works or is it just too
complicated ?

This plugin works really well, thank you!
I need help to make it work with my configuration though.
I have music and audiobooks in 2 different folders because I exclude
audiobooks from music analysis so if I play tracks at random I won't
listen to a book chapter in the middle of a music session
I have tried to build a xml file from scratch , using the help section
of the plug in and regarding my device.
So it is better as I have new things on the plug in page now (see
picture), even if there is unfortunately no Linn pre-defined devices
available.
But LMS still doesn't 'see' the kiko.
So my suggestion for the scanner
artist.jpg
artist image in store
online lookup
If all 3 fail display album cover art from first album the artist is
listed in
Only if there is no cover art display Trumpeter
I took a note of that idea. No promise. But sounds like a plan.

I’m struggling to find consistency here especially when I don’t know if
the scanner simply doesn’t like my chosen file name and the browser
image cache needs to be cleared every rescan so forget this.
Cache indeed can be a problem. If in doubt, wipe cache.db and
imgproxy.db before the scan...

You've reported network-ish issues before. The change to CometD does

v1.5.7 is out with a bunch of fixes and improvements:
- fix downloading artwork from https sources in the scanner (probably
a Windows only issue)
- accept jpeg in addition to jpg file extension in all cases
- log an error when an image folder is not writable to LMS

Yes that would work, thanks. I didn't see this setting.
Now I still have the audiobooks populating the "artists" menu. Do you
know if I could exclude it from there too?
Hi ,
I have applied some changes to the xml file, see below, but still the
LMS doesn't recognize the Linn.
It seems I am stuck with auto recognition : the plug in doesn't discover
anything, so the 'uuid' field cannot be filed. Is there a way I could
fill it manually ?
Hope you could help me fur

Each track has data stored about it in the database - so my suggestion
is to enable it to store link to artist image rather than cover image if
matches certain criteria.
If the track has image in id3 tags is anything stored in database or is
the image simply displayed at play time?

Totally agree!
Thanks :-) I'd LOVE to be able to at least just skin the server settings

server config into Material itself would be too much.
That certainly should be possible. Not as a single page application, but

Success! It worked!
And I even noticed that the artist pictures being displayed are better
ones than before. I dont know how your algorithm works but its
choosing the best pictures now!
Thanks again for all your great work!

Hello, I've been researching how to get the plugin going on
picoreplayer, but found little info on how to really pull it off.
I installed the python2 via the picoreplayer tce extensions web page,
and it works because if I login to the pcp/tce command shell, I can run
python (version 2.7).
But I

These network errors you mentioned above are not occurring. You
resolved the issue(s) that caused content in the RHS to not appear
sometimes.

If there was a server-wide setting that said that compilation albums
should show artist image (if present) for each track in preference to
album image then I think it would handle my earlier suggestion regarding
.cue files ... assuming the scanner could determine that the album is a
compilation ..
After having followed your discussion and MAI was updated, I just tried
doing a complete re-scan for first time in very long time.
The result was good. Almost as many "hits" in artists as before, but it
is missing some that was found before the changes. For the following
