That's exactly what it is. They use these tracking numbers with messages as
part of their Quality Control requirements.

I would consider the PLD section of PROTEL a dead design tool.
I would either use the free wincupl or go to a commercial compiler from one
of the big boys.

We have a customer who are using Protel 99se (sp6) . We are doing a
complex RF design for this company which includes a small CPLD . They've
selected a specific CPLD from Atmel due to lots of other parameters , and we
have to live with the customer's choice (not under our control -besides it

It seems to run faster and more stable then on native windows.

Oh, we (Switzerland and Europe) passed a law that the ISPs have to archive
all emails of all users for 6 month. Strange, the US refused to do that,
since they have their echelon system that filters all emails in realtime.
Both believe it helps them.

If it is, my ISP is not complying with it. I just sent myself an e-mail and
it came back with no ID number attached. Must be something
Techserv-specific.
How do we get the terrorists to start using these numbers in their e-mail?

I have no idea what it's for... Its a new piece of boilerplate that
Techserv is putting on there. I was just curious if anyone knows what the
purpose is.

It's too long to be a UPS tracking # or for any other courier I have heard
of.
It's probably an auto-generated case number from some web help desk
software.

Andy,
I have run into this time and time again and also do 12 layer
boards(8 signal and 4 power etal). The auto router is very tough to figure
out because it does not obey the constraints I place on it. It is a female
by nature and has mood swings to boot.
I have found out that I h

On a fairly dense PCB, set up for 14 layers (8 signal, 6 power/ground) on a

Hi,
Sorry, poorly worded question. How can I set the defaults so that when I
do a new PCB I always get what I want on these instead of 20mils as
seems to be the hard-coded default. I would like to be able to go through
everything for a new PCB, set what I want as default and always have that

Ivan,
I agree totally. I 'ripped off' a copy of the OrCAD schematic software from
university (about 10 years ago - it was the DOS SDT III package). OrCAD, in
their (now long gone!) wisdom, while dongle protecting the PCB module,
didn't protect the schematic module. Consequently it was ripped off
