Somewhat offtopic here ... I'm currently a 99SE devout user - we haven't
made the switch to 2004 yet. I've been discussing it with some colleagues,
and a couple of them have gone to Mentor's PADS 2004 product. They're still
new at it, but are definitely singing praises.

I run Protel 99SE SP6 on Win2000, on the few occasion this has happened to me it was
because I had a component outside the keepout boundary at the edge of the board (this
occurs when you update the pcb with some new components, Protel dumps on the lower
right-hand side outside the pcb area.
