Premier contacted me today to inform me that Altium had updated my
records after considerable prompting from Premier. I tried to
registered again and everything worked so I have just downloaded the
training manual.

Not as yet. I am fairly sure that Premier are attempting to sort this
but, as of today, no. Both companies must have records of the license
numbers so surely all it requires is an exchange of user names to
synchronise one to the other.
All points to real gloomy future following the introduction

I used the 9 digit license number (not the 16 digit activation
code) and company name and it worked fine for me. The Fax I
received from Protel with my registration information is dated
May 28, 1999.
