Hi there,
To reduce the score required you edit the /etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf
file. Set the required_hits field to 2 or 3.
As for deleting the mail, I'm reasonably sure that simcontrol will do that.
edit the /var/qmail/control/simcontrol file.
set the ,spam_hits=x to a number. However
Thanks.

Hi There,
Check /var/qmail/supervise/smtp/run Part of the smtp run file is the path
to rblsmtpd which is located in /usr/bin on mine and I assume by default.
Check your path and then check the path for that file. If it isn't in the
path search the system and copy or link it.
I'm not sure

Hi All!
(I couldn't find instructions for installing Qmail Toaster on top of an
existing Sendmail server, so I'm asking here. (I'll add a wiki page for
it once I've boiled it down.))
I have a RHEL 4 server running Sendmail/Dovecot with 500 passwd-based
email accounts. I will be installing QT
Sounds like somebody likes pain . . .
Without virtualization, you can't do this.

What I do for blackberries, since they have their own email address (ex:

blackberry address and keep a copy locally. That way they get it in
Thanks Jake, I knew there would be a way. Perhaps I should read up a

No problem. I had to deploy about 150 of those things, so that was the
easiest way I cam up with.
I'd also recommend going to the BIS website and modifying the From
address. Quick note, BIS doesn't do SRS, so you must add
blackberry.net stuff to any SPF records.

Just eliminate the biggest files in your setup - comment out BLACKLIST
and BLACKLIST_URL from your config. Those two are huge and taking them
out of my setup returned my system to normal behavior.

I knew there would be a way. ;P
I think using the method of a dedicated IP address for Qmail SMTP would
be necessary in order to test the Simscan (and thus ClamAV and
Spamassassin) functionality. Using procmail to pass messages to
qmail-inject would be much easier but would bypass the Simscan
You should always test the mail going through your server when you make
changes like that. Anyone making changes to spamassassin, rbl's, clamav,
ssattach, ect should be sending a test message to see if/where it hangs.
Most of the time you'll see it's stuck on spamc. I have a short script I've

Cool. Very nice. Perhaps if there is some interest, I will develop a

could help me understand. Are there any particular reasons why you
want to use Dovecot over Courier?
