I was wondering about how much a van costs, the kind that can drive by joystick?
I drove the kind that had 1 lever fo gas/brake, and a mini wheel on the other
hand, but thouht a joystick kind would be better.
Thanks, Greg
Monarch Controls, made the "push n pull' systems for Paras and some Quads
with high function. EDC, is a much different and much more expensive
driving system. The push n pull systems $1200- 2500. EDC, nearly $40 grand.
Both require certification and NMEDA installation.

I've been driving push/pull hand controls with small zero effort steering for

No issue is too small. Most alternators are the same, with the exception of
the stators I believe Ambulances use a 175 amp stator. I also believe
most automobiles use a 100-110 amp stator. A 130 amp stator will not

Took my van to the shop in Louisville today. They diagnosed my problem as a
bad relay switch on the circuit board. The switch is embedded so the
obvious solution is a new circuit board. Guess what? The part was
discontinued earlier this year by Braun. Their solution -- a new lift for

Hi Paul,
It is always reassuring to know the weight of the vehicle before conversion
and after conversion to determine the actual weight differences.
John, the Dodge Sprinter has the 6 cylinder, turbo charged, diesel engine.

Much of van conversion industry dates back to the earliest days of mobility
conversions, the chassis and the embailment programs over the years.
Over the past years Fords body was raised over the chassis with spacers.
Chevy's bodies were always attached directly to the frame directly

I agree John and so do thousand of others when you consider their sales in
the last 5 years when they were assembled, then disassembled and shipped to one
of the Carolinas, only to be reassembled and tagged Freightliner, and now
Dodge. Back then it was done to save import fees on
vehicle. It is a major expense and
is critical to our independence.
