My H4 cut out unexpectedly at the MoT garage after being driven into the
brake test equipment which involved the car being grounded! Looking at
the circuit diagram there are several potential reasons why this
happened, most of which I know how to diagnose and where to look. But
one

a calculator. If I calculate based on 1m each way this gives me a V
drop of less than 0.25V at 150 A on 25mm2 cable (ie <2% of the
voltage). So that looks like a good option.
Unless anyone thinks that absurd, I'll give it a go and confirm by

My H4 has an awful bodge on the steering column bonnet release -
actually it isn't even bodged, the cable sheath is not constrained at
all and there is no lever. I have obtained the orange lever and spring
which appears to be correct and I have sourced a cable which will work.

not personally touched the system. I'm not aware of fluid mismatches
