If the Wifi 6 standard is the problem, then a relatively easy solution
is to bypass the Radio's internal Wifi with an external wifi to ethernet
bridge (called client mode by TP-link). This can be done using the
Vonets or TP-Link nano travel router, or similar device. This is my
recommendation

If you had a G1100/G3100 Verizon router we pushed SON firmware to those

I think there have been allot of clues/suggestions presented, just no

ok, understand, but thanks for confirming this issue isn't unique to the
new router. I think that's important to

Phil, Andy;
Networking is not my strength, but I really don't think you can assume
the issue is within your network/router. The reason I say this is
because you had the problem (radio connection issues) before with your
old router, and you really need to consider the proximity to other

WPA2/PSK Means... WPA2 is the security type you're using for
authentication (don't worry about the acronym, you've selected the right
one.) PSK means Pre-Shared Key. It's geek-speak for a word based
password that Verizon (or you) selects as your WiFi Password. I know

I'll check back in when I get stuck.

Thankyou, Andy
I'm up to my elbows in monkeys now, but soon I will try to find that

I did play around with a couple of the radios and repeaters. I figured

Hi, Phil. People are trying to help you. Not because it's their job;
it's not. They are just trying to help, because they enjoy their
Squeezebox radios and want others to enjoy them too. If you

This post indicates it is Ethernet to the radio. He also previously
indicated he wants to fix the radios. not add a dongle which is why I
suggested reviewing the history.

Can you post the make and model of the repeater
@P Nelson and @AB;
it very well may be wifi 6 with the new router, but Phil had this same
problem with his old old router (pre wifi6) and old mac. Take a look at
the thread he referenced (I think you both participated), where he
joined the "three radios lost connection" thread.

Please understand, I can and have, gotten a network going by putting a

It picks up the WiFi from the central (Verizon) router, then sends it to
the nearby radio through an ethernet cable.

IIRC, there are features of the Verizon G3100 WIFI 6 gateway/modem that,
if disabled, allow the Radios to connect via wireless. Hopefully,
someone who has already dealt with this issue will reply with details.
You may find some hints in this thread:
Phil, I reread your initial series of posts in the "wifi connection

what you are experiencing (Radios would drop out, red icon, not

Nice summary or your progress/remaining issues!
Just to be clear:
your touches are also on wifi, and they connect to your mac running LMS
without a problem?
Also, when you say your spotty problem is resolved, this means that
spotty can play on your touches over wifi?
Finally, just curious,
I was having problems with my four radios being intermittent on Wi-Fi
and needing to be rebooted often, so I got the new latest Verizon router
AND bought a new MacBook Pro laptop.
Now I cannot get any of them to even connect to the router despite both
of my Touches Working just fine.
