Dan is right. If you have vDate predefined, then RBase just has to do one
thing: Is this row > 6/3/15? But in your first command it has to do two
things as it goes thru each row: what is the value of (.#date - 365), then is
this row > that value?

I can't think of a control to do it.
I can only think of a kludgey workaround. You can display the single row by
making it from a view with a "where limit = 1". Then when the form starts,
count how many detail rows there actually are. If there's >1 then display a
button that has a + sign

Do you have an example of the code? This is a simple statement to connect to
another RBase database.
SCONNECT ';driver=Oterro X Enterprise Database Driver (*.RX1);dbq=x:\freight'
The last example I had of an Acce$$ command was this, but it's old:
SCONNECT';driver=Microsoft Access Driver
Great news, Jim! When you have time, would you mind giving us more details
just so we know the kinds of things to look for? Like, were they patching when
users had the database connected, was the server rebooting, etc. Just some
details as to why their patches were affecting your database.
be
valid for the newer versions. Here is the link:

ancy you can make
the variable name contain the number of the iteration and write to an external
file at the end of the iteration and clear the older variables and then load
the file with all the times to a spreadsheet for easy analysis.

Karen,

Cool, read the whole document!! Unfortunately not alot of it applies
to my specific situation since there are no nested cursors and it's
never updating any tables. The original writer of the program also did
a nice job of writing the initial "declare" command to pull in as much
data as needed,
that will take away the "goto startloop" altogether!

Just an FYI
I did a comparison of "compute" vs "select" in Version X (works the same as
9.5).
See the print-screen below. I tested with a where clause that will fail, I
tested both a SUM and a COUNT:
With zero ON (my default)
SUM
"compute" returns a null
"select" returns a
