Hi Folks, Trying to find some info on dup.s I got a t a hamfest this past weekend. I believe they are Sinclair Q-318 dup.s. 4 cans, about 7 round and about 12.5 high. Has the fine and coarse tuning. Looks like the cables have been mod'ed with rg214 cables and *was* on 443.725/448.725.

I still have, and occasionally use, my Icom IC-4AT and Tempo S1 hand held radios - both have thumbwheel frequency selection for those who don't know what they are. Sometimes I wish they still made simple radios like that, but a little smaller. Great on batteries - goes for days, not hours.

Says on the brochure it is 450-470. You would need a VPL-1 programing cable and CE-22 software. This is not a true full duplex repeater, this is basically a glorified link radio that is meant to be connected to another radio inside the vehicle, so that a handheld can use the car's radio. On

This is a real issue for some new hams. They get inspired to participate in local emergency groups, attend classes, get their Tech license, then go looking for the most bang for the buck in a handheld. Some get so discouraged at the complexity of their radios they're never heard from again.

No, you DO have a TPN1191 power supply! The TPN1189A is the Auxiliary Regulator Chassis, one component of the TPN1191 power supply. The schematic for the TPN1189A chassis is included in the TPN1191 power supply manual 6881062E46, which is behind the Power Supply tab in the MSR2000 station manual

FWIW, you do know there really is no such thing as 'inverted DPL', don't you? Every 'inverted' code corresponds to a 'non-inverted' code. So, even if you're using an 'inverted code', if someone tries all the standard codes, they will eventually hit your code. The inverted tone only inverts the
