I've observed that the wood bees seem to prefer 3/4 inch by 8 inch spruce over heavier rafters. Places I've seen that had exposed rafters and 3/4 facia board on the ends suffer massive damage to the facia and none to the rafters. I'm going to try hanging a 10 foot length of scrap [warped]

As to the bird flu, I`d like to know why on the TV news they show people (in foreign places) killing off ALL the useful fowl (chickens, ducks, geese) in an area, when in a real epidemic some will survive to breed, thus making that species stronger. Killing them all off is not the answer.

Hi Wayne. Alot depends on your brew time. Some people use low voltage as in 3-4 volts and run there batch for days or even a week to produce a gallon of CS. If your brew time is short I wouldnt worry to much. A can of soda probably has 10-20 times more carbonic acid than what you would make, but

Yes IMO. Think about it. Your pumping air though your CS batch which contains water. Allot of things will dissolve in water including CO2. 1% of the CO2 pumped though your water will turn into carbonic acid. I don't know what your air quality is like where you live but the longer your batch runs
