You must setup one spotify accont in LMS.
And after that, and enable spotify connected on the player page.
Then it works.

Yesterday evening did some testing with spotty.
Used a spotify account, and set it up in LMS.
Then took another spotify, which was not in LMS.
With that one could connected to LMS spotty and play songs.
There was no trouble using it, without adding the account.

Regarding MUSIP, you should edit .QLMS.conf for that.
And then the line #MUSICIP=0 should become MUSICIP=1. and be sure that
you remove the # at front of the line.
Another way could be, to do [ touch .MUSICIP ] inside the
./qpkg/QLOgitechMediaServer directory.
Then when you are inside the qpkg/Q
Don't know what you mean.
Included in the installation is,
Perl 5.24.4 with original cpan modules included( from version 1.09.a)
( For better support of several functions in LMS )

avahi.
Then spotty wont see the avahi, and anyone should be able to connected
with spotify on the wifi.
If i understand what you're telling us.
And thats something which i can build in QLogitechMediaServer.

Oke so if i understand correctly, without avahi-daemon it would work
with spotty.
Thats something which could be done, if one does not want to use
shairtunes2.
If i understands correctly, the dbus connection is only used to connect
to avahi-daemon in LMS?
