I have certainly used browse by folder to access new music - before the scan has run. Playing it adds it to the library so can avoid doing a scan - although there are some limitations I think (for example - am not sure that it processes a .cue file that indexes into a big MP3 file). Paul

I was also using Home/Music Folder - which perhaps had something to do with results changing. After first play I expect it auto-scanned it in ... then I renamed the files and then refreshed the folder view ... so maybe it failed again but scanned it in and then it worked. Paul Webster http
