Thank you!
I thought I had checked every file with Notepad++ and couldn't find
those settings. Maybe I missed that one. Recovered what I needed.
I realize I might be one of few that still uses the RSS News Feed plugin

Does anyone know where they would have been stored in my old setup?

Agree 100%. I've been using Squeezeboxen since ~2007 and I have never

grateful that they continue to sponsor the server and this discussion.
There is no better streaming server, IMO. And it does keep getting

Would anyone be willing to upload a copy of their "RPS" from their LMS?
I had a backup hard drive that failed me so I have no reliable backups.

I recently had a C: drive go boobs up on me. Reinstalled everything

I just found out that it is a plugin (that I forgot I installed on a

called "Log Of Songs Played" I did a web search and found reference to

The feature is simply called "Log Of Songs Played" and it resides in the
"Extras" menu. I find this much more full featured and more useful than
WWTT (no offense .. I think both are nice). It includes date played,
time, and the folder or web address the file
Unless if Trackstat has majorly changed recently, I don't think so. I'm
thinking of temporarily installing SBS 7.8 on another computer and just
see if it reappears in that version just so I'll know.

I've always wished that there was a STOP button on the Default skin (web

I believe that I have found the culprit: Spicefly SugarCube. Thing is,
on my previous server settings on the other machine I never had this
problem with Spicefly. I always had it enabled (for several years) and
could still use shuffle when playing albums or folders. I'm going to

IMO, ReplayGain is an absolute must with a digital music player. Just
make sure that you choose "Smart Gain" in your ReplayGain settings so if
you are playing random tracks it uses track values and album value when
playing a full album.

The button is not dark, and it says: "Shuffle - Don't Shuffle
Playlist."
Also, when I copied that part of the server.prefs it had just turned off
shuffle again, but I did look at it one time later before shuffle had
reset and it said: "shuffle: 1"

I think I figured it out. I originally input 'findstr server.prefs.' I
just ran it as 'findstr shuffle server.prefs' and got back the

This is in Winblows 10. I ran the "findstr" command in a command prompt
as an administrator. It just hangs and doesn't do anything. I've never
run a findstr command, so I'm probably doing it wrong. :)

Well .. I thought I had this one taken care of. But it's back, even with
the new server.prefs. I have tried disabling, one at a time: (a)

of these were causing shuffle to be turned off with every new song.
