明確な判断基準は無いように思います。（時間みつけて、もういちどTagging MLを見てみます）
英語MLではなく僕個人の感覚からゆくと、centreeさんと同じく、
・都市内の歩行者道：footway
・山道など：path
という印象があり、道路周囲の状況をみて適宜判断なのかなぁ、と思っています。

effectivement en utilisant potlatch 2 j’y suis arrivé, pour ceux qui comme moi
ont beaucoup de mal, je voudrais simplement ajouter que pour aller sur potlatch
il suffit de faire dérouler le menu de la petite flèche à côté du bouton
“modifier” en haut et suivre les explications
