Hello,
Subject line pretty much says it all. I am using a newly-resurrected 58503A
and noticed some unpopulated SMC connector pads on the motherboard next to
the 1 PPS and the Alarm Output jacks. Curious if one of these might be an
IRIG-B output (or some other useful signal)?

Heather wants the device to be in half-duplex mode where it does not echo
the serial port characters. Unfortunately in version 5 the command that it
sends to turn echo off does not work on all receivers. It is fixed
continuously at slightly slower than once per second. The only way to
exit the program is to kill the process with the task manager. There are no
other programs vying for the COM port.
Any and all help is appreciated!

Looks to be a reasonable solution.
Not spectacular, cost wise . just reasonable.
Plug and play with multivoltage PS, active antenna, and T'Bolt.
All you will need is Lady Heather to whip things into shape.

Yes, his techniques were cryptic, but I doubt if his techniques exceeded

I would start with a search at SBE for such freq measurement organizations.

I think that when I got my unit, the cover was flipped around
so the top overhang was on the back. This way the overhang does
not run into the rack panel, but it puts the frequency adjust hole
on the wrong side of the unit.

you will still have to fight that LO drift. Unless it is synchronized

The mouse does use IRQ 12.

How do I fix (permanently assign) the Com port used for the mouse, so
