Most bizarre SBT behavior: It seems to be learning as it goes along!!
The artwork that did not display at first, gradually came on as I
listened to more albums and tracks, without any changes on my part.

I had a similar problem at one point. It was easily solved by rotating
the router antenna in a vertical plane so that it points down (my
router is upstairs, the listening room downstairs). Never had another
re-buffering after that with any resolution file.

PCM while the more powerful SBServer can't do it. (This probably shows
my utter ignorance about how the whole thing works!).

its own DAC (via either a 75 ohm coax or a Toslink cable), then the
Touch internal DAC will be bypassed and the amp's DAC will do the
converting.

wired connection to this repeater. Damn!
My first thought would be to try a different Ethernet cable. If that
does not work, try connecting a laptop or some other device and see if
the repeater gets connected to it. If not, the repeater may be faulty.

If you have a laptop that can be plugged into the repeater via Ethernet
wire, try that. If it does not connect to the network (e.g., it cannot
log onto the internet), then the problem is a faulty repeater, seems to
me.

the unit for one that works? I think it may be worth your while to try
again.
So far, my SR300 has worked flawlessly. It (+ Monster Cat6 cable) made
quite a difference in sound quality.

what you perceive as harshness. But only you can tell for sure.

, download and install the Ethernet version of TT3.0. It will
automatically disable WLAN and you should be in business. Works with a
bridge for me.

The VBAs sold in the US are all Gigabit Ethernet, I believe (1000Mb/s).
That's what i have. I would buy the dual core, if I were you, assuming
