Dianne,
In your SETPTR statement, if you specify the printer name as a
UNC printer (\\server\printer) then yes, you can print to a remote

accessed in a given period of time. Really helps keep the
items in that file down. But, like Jeff Butera said, colleges
especially might need to keep lists around for a while and this really
helped some of our schools manage that.

You'll need to use CREATE.FILE in Universe, but create either a type 1
or type 19 file - that will make it a folder.

Something in the far reaches of my mind tells me that you need to do
something like use a left paren instead of a bracket, like
IF A = 1 (PROD.PL PROG1.PROC
Can't try it right now to verify, though, sorry!

What version of Universe do you have that in? I don't have it! (v9.6)

It is part of Universe. The source for that function
is in:
APP.PROGS under the name: GET.USERS.B
Its parameters are:
SUBROUTINE
GET.USERS(PI.USERS,MAX.PI.USERS,SYS.USERS,USER.INFO,

and it doesn't exist in
UV.ACCOUNT, you can only LOGTO it if you specify the full path. Of
course, we always put a security subroutine in the LOGTO command that
does other checks too!

Actually, my original post was not about aix, but about windows. There
is a conflict between LiveVault and UV with the persistent storage
manager service so for the time being, we need to find another backup
solution.

It sounds like the verb LANDSCAPE doesn't exist in the account you're
logging to. It might be as simple as copying the VOC item from the
first account to the second one.

Has anyone had any experience with the LiveVault backup software? I
have a client who recently installed this on their Windows UV 10.0.10
system and has had all kinds of issues since then with uv commands not
working sporadically (such as CONFIG, PORT.STATUS, etc). Thanks.
