This is really the same as installing the driver manually but it make the install automated. Do any of you have EnvyNG on your machines? I have EnvyNG on two of my desktops and when run the program it will give you three choices for Nvidia/ATI drivers. Maybe it's worth a shot.

I got frustrated and decided to give Linux Mint a try. So far, I love Linux Mint more than Kubuntu. Now I don't have to worry about manually installing mp3, flash, dvd, support etc. I haven't gotten this error since I switched to Mint. www.linuxmint.com Linux Mint is Ubuntu/Kubuntu/Xubuntu
