I've found it very stable. My problem is I get to fooling around with it
and... I have 2 other RPI's, a Transporter, Boom, two Duet Controllers
and a Touch running off of it without a problem. It takes longer than my
PC did to scan, but you would expect that. It scans 8000 song sin about

After a reboot the calibration was wrong again.
It looks like this line bring me back the calibration in jivelite
permanently:
Code:
sudo

Thanks very much. That helps.
I di try copying the contents of the card in WINscp one time. Besides
taking forever, some files would not copy. What is the best way to make
an image of the card? I have Google'd that subject but haven't come up
with anything that really worked.
Thanks again for

Quick update. I have discovered that the Tibo speakers have a USB socket
at the back. I thought this was for a music / data
In my experience over the years, it has ALWAYS been the Power Supply
Units. I have bought probably 10 - 15 [ we have over 20 players of
sorts]. I only ever had one unit fail (a touch screen, replaced under
warranty). You will get 5v under no load, but when the PSU fails it
won't supply the
The program that you are writing the image to the card with, should be
able to make an image too.
If you are on window, win32diskimager should do the trick.

Sorry for one more question Paul...
Is there anyway to use Win32DISK in combination with SAMBA to backup
right over the network to an .img file? I know I can use "/" as the
"Share Path", but the files do not look the same as when you explore the
SD card.
Thanks,
Howard

Can I go home now?

Hi huxmut,
But... I thought the disk imaging tools did a bit copy of the whole
Hmmm, not sure I follow. I was thinking I would backup the image to a
folder on my PC. That way I could have one for each of the three RPI's I
have (only one is the server). But my question was (looking for the
lazy, easy way) can I back up right from the RPI using SAMBA. That way I
would not
I have finaly figured out what's the problem. I have to start jivelite
with the following line:
> sudo SDL_MOUSEDRV=TSLIB SDL_MOUSEDEV=/dev/input/event0

When I do the following like do_rebootstuff.sh does, the calibration in
jivelite wont't work.

Just to post a final update, I've got everything working nicely. I've
used MusicIP to generate a couple large mixes (~4,500 songs) on my PC,
and have exported to my RPi/LMS. Dynamic Playlists then uses them based
on the moods I'm interested in. I probably still need to get better at
how MusicIP

If you were a linux guy, I'd give you more information, but you've
already said you weren't. I'll put it on my list to work

Thanks again Paul. Old people are lazy. Either that or we figure we have
less time :-)
I shall pull the cards. Much easier on the early pi's

Heh heh, I'm sure that would appreciated by a lot of folks. I did try
using the DD command in WINscp to see if I could get away with
anything.
I didn't :-)

That shows the USB disk where the data is saved is not mounted. Did you
change USB keys? We save the UUID of the disk that you setup for LMS,
if that UUID is not found, then it stops LMS.
Please go to Diagnostics from the main menu, and then Logs..take a
look in the boot log.
holy sh*#...LOL

Can someone confirm - piCorePlayer 3.22 with LMS running on SDCard, is
at higher risk of failing if Power is removed?
All this talk of backups is getting me worried. If I turn off my WHS
and move over to the RPi, Im worried my aging brain will forget how I
got it to work if it later fails.
