Hallo Dave, Danke für den Tipp! Klappt auch bei mir (Debian/GNU/Linux). Das zweite Fenster kann unter meiner Desktopumgebung (XFCE) auf einen anderen virtuellen Desktop verschoben werden. Auch mit zwei Bildschirmen kann man so arbeiten. Ich habe den Menüeintrag bisher schlicht "übersehen".

Hallo, wenn eine Datei schreibbar geöffnet wird, dann setzt AOO (wie auch schon OOo) eine (leere) "Sperrdatei". Ist diese vorhanden, kann die Datei allenfalls zum Lesen geöffnet werden (selbst wenn man LO oder eine andere Instanz von AOO hierzu bemüht). Dies ist auch sinnvoll um Konflikte

Paul, There is no phone support. This mailing list is volunteer support. Having said that, from your problem description, it seems likely if you double-click one of the files you want to edit in Wordpad the file opens in Writer instead. If this is a fair description of the problem
