HelloTwayne, I think that the instructions are not exactly clear, but you can indeed have hyperlinks in a OOo2.4 Writer document. To insert a link you have to enclose in the TOC structure the part you want to be hyperlinked between the markers LS (link start) and LE (link ends). The LS marker is

Yes, it does help a lot! I was using commas instead of semicolons and was looking at a filtered list of functions. The expression I had was =CHAR(MOD(A1,26)+64) and when I got the error I clicked on the Fx function Wizard button on the address bar and didn't notice that it was filtered to Text
