[ovirt-users] Re: Ceph cluster on oVirt Guests

2019-10-18 Thread Anantha Raghava

Hi,

It appears it is. We tested it on the physical hardware with same CentOS
7 and same release of Ceph and it works like a charm. We also tried it
with VMWare, and it works perfect. Of course, on VMWare we have to
install open-VM-Tools in place of VMWare Guest tools. But with
ovirt-guest-tools, we get error and open-vm-tools appears not designed
for oVirt.

Thanks & regards,

[ovirt-users] Install CiscoISE VM on oVirt

2018-06-12 Thread Anantha Raghava
Hi,

I am not sure whether I should write it here. However the documents
referred to specifies that I have change something in BIOS of VM & there is
no way to get access to BIOS. Hence I am writing here.

I am trying to install Cisco ISE in a VM on oVirt. The installation process
halts reporting "Unsupported Hardware Found. The Cisco UDI (Unique Device
Identifier) found on this appliance does not match with supported UDI of
the product being Installed. Exiting installation"

However it works perfectly on VMWare ESXi, VMWare Workstation and VMWare
Fusion. In fact I tested this in VMWare Workstation and VMWare Fusion. The
same ISO file throws above error.

Cisco ISE is based on RHEL 7 and it is hardened.

Has any one attempted to install Cisco ISE in oVirt? Any one throw some
light?

My oVirt Version 4.2.3 and Hosts are on 4.1.9

Re: [ovirt-users] oVirt virtio drivers for fedora 5

2017-12-31 Thread Anantha Raghava

Hello Sergey,

Your suggestion worked Instead of extending the disks, we added the
third IDE disk with about 500 GB, created the required partitions, mount
points and just synchronised the date from physical server to all these
mount points using DD command. Post the completion of synchronization
process, we modified the fstab and the VM went live.

Now all well.

Thanks for your suggestion and WISH YOU & THE LIST A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Maybe you can make this two disks larger, make more extended
partitions on them and move partitions from disks 3 and 4 to this two
and modify fstab accordingly?
Or if you don't need separate mount points you can extend space on /
and move data to / filesystem tree and remove fstab entries,

and use only 1 virtual disk, if it's acceptable.
All this can be done from modern OS, you can connect all 4 disks via
virtio drivers, connect 5th disk, move data to it, install fedora5
bootloader,

modify fstab and than reattach to original vm via IDE.

Hi,
We have converted a very old fedora 5 server to run on oVirt. However,
since the Fedora 5 does not have virtio drivers, or virtio-scsi
drivers, the disks are connected to virtual IDE interface. The problem
here is on a single IDE interface, we cannot connect more than 2
disks. But the old converted server had 4 disks on 2 IDE controllers.
First question is can we add one more virtual IDE Controller to the
VM? If yes, please share the procedure. Or whether any one can share
the proper virtio or virtio scsi for fedora 5 OS drivers so that we
can get other two inactive disks working.

Unfortunately we cannot upgrade from Fedora 5 at the moment.

Neither are possible. Does the Fedora have an iSCSI initiator support
perhaps? You can expose those disk via different VMs to that VM - but
still it might look different to the OS.

(We don't even support such an old OS - but if it works, great).
Y.

[ovirt-users] virt-p2v not recognising Hard Disks of Server

2017-12-16 Thread Anantha Raghava

Hello,

I am trying to convert a physical server (10 year old hardware with PCI
LSI Loging / Symbios LSI MegaRAID controller and SCSI drives, RAID 5
Configuration). Host to be converted has Fedora 5 OS.

I have downloaded the virt-p2v.iso (Cent OS 7.3). I have prepared the
conversion server. I am able to boot the physical server with
virt-p2v.iso. I am able to connect to conversion server. But none of the
Hard Disks are listed to select for conversion.

I opine, probably it is something to do with SCSI / RAID Card drivers.

Is there a way I can get these drivers into virt-p2v.iso? Any
suggestions to get this task to completion?

Thanks in advance.

[ovirt-users] Killing Zombie or hungTasks

2017-10-03 Thread Anantha Raghava

Hi,

We attempted to import a VM from export domain and that failed for some
reason. However the import task or the activity never ended in spite of
throwing an error. Even after 4 full days, on the VM an Hour glass was
shown and it kept reporting, hung task.

Finally we had to run engine-update, that removed Zombie tasks and VM
started showing as DOWN and we could remove the VM.

I believe, this is not the right process to remove the zombie tasks or
hung tasks. Is there a better method without running "engine-update"?

Re: [ovirt-users] Change CD Issue

2017-09-19 Thread Anantha Raghava

Hi,

You pointed out right. It is a specif issue with our second host
(Host-2). For all VMs running on First Host (Host-1), Change CD works
fine. It throws error for all VMs running on Second Host (Host-2). It
has no relation with Host being SPM.

Looks like some issue with our second host (Host-2) specifically.

We migrated one VM from Second Host to First Host and Change CD works
properly.

But how do we check what the error is? How do we fix it?

[ovirt-users] Kill a long running task in oVirt 4.0.5

2017-04-21 Thread Anantha Raghava

Hi,

We are using oVirt 4.0.5. I tried to import an exported VM into the
oVirt infrastructure. The process started and from last 24 hrs, it is
still running and I am unable to kill it either.

I tried to use "stopTask" command, but host is reporting "stopTask"
command is available. How do we kill the long running task?

[ovirt-users] Unable to upgrade from 4.1.0.* to 4.1.1

Hi,

I am trying to upgrade my setup from version 4.1.0* to 4.1.1. While the
yum update "ovirt-*-setup*" worked without any issues, engine-setup
command is throwing errors. Screen shot is shown below. I even updated
my CentOS. Yet the same issues continue.

Can someone extend help upgrading the engine version?

HA works only if power management is configured and vms are set as

Re: [ovirt-users] oVirt Nodes Monitoring

2017-03-08 Thread Anantha Raghava

Hi,

You can also monitor by enabling SNMP in Hosts. For this purpose, using
the MIB, you need to build a Zabbix Template as detailed in the link
here https://github.com/jensdepuydt/zabbix-ovirt

We are monitoring Version Hosts with CentOS 7 and oVirt 4.0.x using this
method.

I will share the Zabbix-Template, we have built tomorrow as I, at the
moment do not have access to my resources.

Thanks Arsène

Just for others benefit just adding the repository and installing the
agent won't work. Need to add it to SELINUX. For that I used the
following command:

semodule -i zabbix_agent_setrlimit.pp

I see the oVirt Nodes have snmpd service installed and could be used
for basic things but ideally, for Zabbix is good to use its agent.

What would be the best way to install its zabbix-agent package and
make it persistent ? Add its repository to the oVirt-Node in
/etc/yum.repos.d/ and install it with yum or install using a .rpm
directly ?

[ovirt-users] Ubuntu VM does not complete reboot cycle without Console Open

2017-03-06 Thread Anantha Raghava

Hi,

I have been observing that Ubuntu Precise VM, if restarted using a
crontab at a given time, stops at the OS / Kernel Selection screen and
does not complete the reboot. If we issue the reboot command with
Console open, the same command works without any issues and the VM boots
properly. This issue happens only with Ubuntu Precise and not with
Trusty or Xeniel or even with any of Rehat distributions or CentOS.

Interestingly, it doesn't happen with VMWare ESXi.

I also read somewhere that this issue is with VDSM 3.6 and it seems to
continue with VDSM 4 as well.

Any suggestions in this regard.

Re: [ovirt-users] Exporting VM as ova

2017-02-12 Thread Anantha Raghava

Hello Arik,

Interesting..

I was thinking that, by converting to OVA appliance, we can release our
product as appliance that will work on Xen, VMWare or KVM. Now OVA works
both on Xen and VMWare and both can be interchanged with each other.

Do you mean to say that both Xen and VMWare have written specific
parsers to convert the disk formats amongst each other.

Xen, I am talking about Citrix Xen.

Thanks Anantha.
That's true only to some extent.
For example, without converting OVA that was generated by VMware using
virt-v2v oVirt cannot consume it since the VMDK disks format is not
supported in oVirt. Another example is the OVF representation that
differs among various virtualization management platforms.
So if you are trying to migrate a VM from oVirt to another platform
and assume you'll get this out-of-the-box by having an OVA that is
generated by oVirt, I'm afraid you'll be disappointed in case the
target platform doesn't support the format of the disks or doesn't
know how to parse the OVF that is generated by oVirt.
And there may be more use cases for exporting the VM as OVA, that's
why I'm interested to know what's the goal in this case :)

Absolutely. One of our oVirt setup is done this way.
Three hosts are set up as glusterFS servers (replica-3), as well as oVirt

We choose to add a fourth host as an standalone engine, but you can choose

I have no experience on similar setup with a random number of nodes, neither

Anantha, when you say “will not allow us to change anything” what exactly do
you mean?

Does it generate the same “unhandled exception” error as when adding disks
or something else?

I was able to specify 4 vCPUs consisting of 2 sockets (each with dual core)
and it worked fine.

If you specify a disk FIRST and then try to to change the virtual CPU

configuration it will no longer work. Basically if you edit/change/add a disk
and a new window pops up, some stuff that shouldn't have been cleaned up, is
cleaned up and breaks anything that relies on that, like the check to see if
the virtual CPU configuration is valid. A bunch of other stuff as well like
the exception mentioned below.

I don’t know of a function built into oVirt for scheduling snapshots.
If you don’t already you may want to setup an export domain (NFS
based), on separate storage.

Just a reminder: snapshots are not backups and they should only be
kept temporarily. We use this tool for backups:

https://github.com/wefixit-AT/oVirtBackup

It’s not the most efficient as it clones a VM from a snapshot, then
exports the clone – so you’re transferring the same data twice. But it
works for our purposes. We have this running in a cron job.

If anyone has come up with a script that uses the newer API to export
a snapshot directly, please share!

We get the same error when adding a disk while creating the VM (In
Chrome, Firefox, and Safari on OS X Sierra client). This is reportedly
fixed in 4.0.6 per this bug:

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1394175

Could someone with 4.0.6 confirm that?

Best,

Daniel

b. Snapshots are stored on the same storage domain. Can we move them

Also, after upgrading to version 4.0.5, at many places, especially
when we are creating a new VM and trying to create a new Disk for the

Is anyone else facing this issue? These sort of issues were not there

Re: [ovirt-users] Hosts lost the communication with FC Storage Domains

2016-12-09 Thread Anantha Raghava

Hello Nir,

LVM backup & restore...risky, but have no options. Let's try this. VMs
contain some sensitive data that cannot exist outside these VMs. Even VM
snapshots are on the same storage. But we did not take a Volume Snapshot
at the storage level :-(

We will make an attempt & post the results.

ignoring the warning!!! However, now that nothing else can be done, we tried
to add the same existing LUN as new Domain, it fails to add. It will not
format the LUN as needed to add it as storage domain. Wondering as to why is
this?

Even if some one added the existing LUNs ignoring warning, without realising
danger, how the running VMs continued to work till we shut them down? I can
understand the refusal to start a shutdown VM or failure to migrate from one
to another host. What happens to data in those running VMs?

I guess that lv data was not affected, only the lvm metadata was destroyed.

When an lv is active, you have access to certain segments on the pvs
backing the lv. Deleting the lvm metadata should affect running vms.

The data of the vms is probably still on storage and probably can be restored
by using the lvm backup information. You should be able to create a device
mapper device mapped to the same segments on storage as the original
lvs and restore the data, but I never tried to do this.

Hello Yaniv,

I sincerely apologize for pushing you guys.

We have taken the steps suggested by you only to realize that the
Storage volumes are having NTFS format instead of LVM2!! Hence become
not accessible. We were able to create new LUNs and add them properly as
storage domains.

But only surprising part is all running VMs continued even after the
storage domain and DC going down till such time, we manually shut them
down. How is this possible?

Re: [ovirt-users] 100% disk utilization on Hosted Engine

2016-10-30 Thread Anantha Raghava

Hello Didi,

Apart form oVirt-engine, nothing else is running on the server. Engine
is running on CentOS 7.2 minimal installation. We have 2 hosts, 1 iSCSI
storage, about 19 VMs and 5 Networks. In this setup oVirt engine is
running in a separate VM created on VMWare ESXi. In 20 odd days, it
consumed around 70GB out of 100 GB!!!

In another setup, we have only one host, hosted engine, 9 VMs, 2
Networks, 1 FC Storage. In about 30 odd days, 100% of available 100 GB
consumed!! It is in this setup CentOS is not allowing us to loginto
engine VM as no space to create any temp files on the storage. We have
ISO Domain created on this engine VM. But that's only about 3 GB in size.

Both setup are not exposed to internet. Hence, any malware is ruled out.

We have observed, the logs are also growing and we have not found that
logs are not rotating. All logs right from day one are kept intact.
Nothing in the user files. Because no user is allowed to use this VM.

What else it could be? 100% consumption without even a warning, is very
strange.

Is it that DWH database and the logs really take so much of space so fast?

Are you sure that DWH database is the only thing using much space? Did you
check disk space usage?

DWH db size depends on the size of your setup - number of
hosts/VMs/disks/NICs/etc.

You can also affect this by configuring granularity and history
length, check e.g.:

https://www.mail-archive.com/search?l=users@ovirt.org&q=subject:%22Re\%3A+\[ovirt\-users\]+Limit+DWH+database+size%22&o=newest

http://lists.ovirt.org/pipermail/users/2016-September/042419.html

How do we reduce the disk utilization? This will be a major issue when
compared to other hypervisors management platform.

How do we address this and arrest this super fast disc consumption?

Use NFS on each host to export the local disk to your cluster. Ensure
this is remembered, as when you want to reboot a specific node, you
have to put the storage into maintenance as well.

I also like to pin each VM using the storage to the node the NFS
export lives on.

In our setup we have iSCSI storage on which the primary storage domain
is created and is being used. On the hosts, we have 1 TB of storage that
is not used for anything and just going waste. Can we make use of them
in some manner?

Yes, it is root cause. Active directory usually has anonymous

Most probably it wasn't successful, because as you can see in
screenshot there is no 'namespace', you should see there something, if
configuration is correct.

Can you please send output of the following command?

  $ ovirt-engine-extensions-tool --log-level=FINEST
--log-file=/tmp/aaa.log aaa search --extension-name=domain-authz

There should be some ERROR or WARN.

Thanks.

Now, when I try to add the user and assign the roles, it is not allowing
me to browse through the profile & the user list. Infact the "GO" button
gets deactivated as shown in the screenshot.

How do I set this right and get the user list?

[ovirt-users] Peculiar Problem in migrating storage from one to another domain

2016-09-19 Thread Anantha Raghava

Hi,

I had created a Windows VM accidentally with storage in EXPORT_DOMAIN
rather than using a specified MASTER_STORAGE Domain built on iSCSI
storage. Realising the mistake, I moved the VM's disk from EXPORT_DOMAIN
to MASTER_STORAGE domain. The engine reported that disk moved
successfully. When I attempted to start the VM, I am getting error
"Cannot start VM, related operation is in progress". This error has
persisted over last 24 Hours!!. I attempted to remove the disk from VM,
same error appears. When I try to delete disk from MASTER_STORAGE
Domain, same error appears.

What could have gone wrong in this disk movement?

I am using oVirt 4.0.2 on CentOS 7 and 2 hosts in the cluster are also
with CentOS 7 base OS on which the Hypervisor is installed.

I have two more servers of the same configuration. Let me try & simulate

Re: [ovirt-users] Adding iSCSI Storage

2016-08-25 Thread Anantha Raghava

Hello Elad,

Thanks for quick reply. That was really quick.

Your assessment was right. On the iSCSI storage multiple iSCSI
initiators were disabled. Hence the authorisation error. Once I enabled
the multiple iSCSI initiator support, the primary storage domain came
live and DC also went live.

However, I am still confused on iSCSI mutipathing and bonding. Will try
creating bonds and write back if I get stuck.

It does seem you've hit

The workaround for this is to update the DB and change the domain status.
Or, if possible, I'd suggest to clean the setup and create a new
data-center.
For first storage domain creation in the new DC, in case it's iSCSI,
please make sure you provide the correct iSCSI credentials for login
or use other type of storage (NFS for example).

Hi,
You don't need to try it on oVirt when 'virsh -c' doesn't work since oVirt try
to connect via libvirt libraries (same as virsh) before it called virt-v2v.

Did you follow all the steps in the wiki?
Are you able to ssh to the Xen server from the vdsm machine that you try to

Hi Tomáš,

virsh list --all works locally and results in list of all VMs.

virsh -c xen+ssh://root@192.168.1.40 results in two errors:

error: failed to connect to hypervisor
error: End of file while reading data: : Input/output error

That is because your libvirt URI is wrong. It has to be 'xen+ssh://...'
not 'ssh://...'.

Does it work if you try: virsh -c 'xen+ssh://root@192.168.1.40'

Hi,
You don't need to try it on oVirt when 'virsh -c' doesn't work since oVirt try
to connect via libvirt libraries (same as virsh) before it called virt-v2v.

Did you follow all the steps in the wiki?
Are you able to ssh to the Xen server from the vdsm machine that you try to
run virsh without password? (ssh root@192.168.1.40)

[ovirt-users] Hosted Engine & FC Data Domain

2016-07-25 Thread Anantha Raghava

Hello,

I had recently installed oVirt 4.0.1 Hosted Engine with FC (SAN) Storage.

I could install the oVirt, deploy hosted-engine. But when I accessed the
Engine Web Admin, I noticed the following:

a. There was no Data Domain. I had to import the FC LUN, on which the
Hosted Engine's Disk resided into Storage manually. But when I attempted
to attach the data domain to Data Center, it failed.

b. I ended up removing all configuration, and recreated the FC LUNs.
This time, I created two LUNs, on one LUN, the Hosted Engine resided.
This time, first, I had to import the second LUN as master Data Domain
and add the LUN on which Engine VM resided as just another Data Domain.

Now the questions:

i. Will Hosted Engine not automatically import the hosted_storage as
master data domain? Why does it throw error when attempted to import and
attach to DC?

ii. Is it necessary to have another data domain as master data domain,
before attaching hosted_storage?

iii. How do we change the master data domain from one to another?

I was able to map the hosted_storage to default DC. This appeared & got
attached after I mapped another NFS Share as Master Data Domain. Even
the HostedEngine VM appeared under Virtual Machines Tab and status was
set to up.

I could install ovirt guest agent and got all other information reported
from agent service.

But I noticed that although I have installed CentOS 7.2 in Hosted
Engine, VM reports it is a Desktop and not a Server. I attempted to
change these values and also the Clock off set, but received error as
locked parameters cannot be changed etc. Does the Hosted Engine really
use a Desktop Profile? Can't we change it?

I'm asking that because - as Alex knows it - I'm facing this terribly

We're using 3.6.5 and bare-metal engine.
I triple checked DNS resolution, added (anyway) relevant fqdn in
/etc/hosts, install (anyway) haveged and rebooted.

We checked all that with Alex, but seeing nothing obvious.

So far, the web gui usage is still a real daily pain.

Hi,

Thanks for taking time and reverting back to me.

I have seen this explanation from engine-backup help and realise that it is
something to do with Postgres DB restore activity. But not much said about
it. I feel it instructs Postgress DB to restore the DB without privileges
with which the object was created, but use new permissions & privileges
passed along with --change-db-credentials and others passed during
engine-backup --mode=restore.

Exactly.

And if you do not pass --change-db-credentials, you'll simply get the
default, which is to just give permissions to the user creating the
schema.

Bottom line: If you used only defaults, and did not create users
and give them grants, there is no difference between the options.
They'll create the exact same database. If you did add grants, you
must choose.

I agree it's not very user-friendly to require choice, but please
take into consideration that if you had a large setup (say hundreds
of VMs or more) with dwh history included over some time, you'll have
a large database, and I think it will be much less friendly if we
"just try" restoring (which can take several hours then) and fail
in the end due to missing users.

Please also see the discussion on these bugs for more details:

It is highly likely 1 of 2 things:

 1. The entropy mentioned by Brett, however that is mostly
 applicable on hosted
engine as VMs don't usually have good entropy.
 2. The engine cannot resolve itself (which looking at your
 description is the
likely culprit). Since you don't have DNS, you need to add the fqdn to
/etc/hosts so it can resolve itself.

There should be more details in the events at the bottom of the

If they are busy VMs then you may have issues migrating them. There
is some simple tuning available and it may help. You can increase
the maximum downtime in VM properties dialog (500ms by default, you
can go up to whatever is feasible for your VM, seconds, tens of seconds)
Bandwidth is limited to work on 1Gb network, if you have 10Gb

the maximum bandwidth 10 times

[ovirt-users] Terribly slow web consile post migration of oVirt Engine from one host to another host

2016-06-08 Thread Anantha Raghava

Hi,

I was able to migrate the oVirt Engine from one host to another using
engine-backup utility. On the new host, the data is loaded properly but
the Administration Portal is terribly slow.

It take about 2 to 3 minutes to allow me to enter user name & password.
Once logged in, it takes hell a lot of time to show up the data. Click
on a tab, we need to wait for a good amount of time to see the actual
data. Even the refresh is taking time to execute although it is set to 5
Seconds.

But if I enable old server and connect, every thing works quickly.

Note:

1. We do not have DNS in our environment.
2. Engine name & even the IP is retained the same.
3. Before migration, we stopped ovirt-engine on old server, took the
backup, shutdown & disconnected the old server.
4. We installed the ovirt-engine on new server, run engine setup, noted
down the DB password, did engine-cleanup, restored the data using
engine-backup utility and executed engine-setup again. It did recognize
restored data and only httpd configuration was sought and we selected
the defaults.

Result is terribly slow Web Console.

First, we attempted to setup ovirt-reports and later removed it thinking
that may be slowing down the engine server. Yet the same result.

Commands used to backup from old server: "engine-backup --mode=backup
--file= --log= --provision-db"
Command used to restore on new server: "engine-backup --mode=restore
--file= --log= --change-db-credentials
--db-host=localhost --db-user=engine --db-name=engine
--db-password= --no-restore-permissions"

The command executed without any errors, resulting in a terribly slow
web console.

Note: Without --restore-permissions, the restore fails. Did not
understand what to give as restore permissions. Hence used
--no-restore-permissions.

*Hardware configuration:*
*
**Old Server:* i3 Processor, 4 GB Memory, 1 Gbps NIC
*New Server :* Lenovo x3250 M5 Server with Intel Xeon Processor, 16 GB
RAM, 2 X 1 Gbps NIC.

Just unable to understand why it is terribly slow.

Hi Anantha,
it’s part of ovirt-guest-tools. See

Live migration failure - These are pretty busy VMs if not big. The
event does not show any specific message but just as migration
failed. Is the reason logged somewhere? Please share the log location
so that I can check & share the log for meaningful message and proper
screen shots.

There should be more details in the events at the bottom of the
webadmin page (just make it a bit bigger it may not be te last message)
If they are busy VMs then you may have issues migrating them. There is
some simple tuning available and it may help. You can increase the
maximum downtime in VM properties dialog (500ms by default, you can go
up to whatever is feasible for your VM, seconds, tens of seconds)
Bandwidth is limited to work on 1Gb network, if you have 10Gb availabl
you can also tune /etc/vdsm.conf on each host and increase the maximum
bandwidth 10 times

Note:

All hosts are installed with CentOS 7.2 minimal installation oVirt

We do not have a DNS in our environment. We have to do with IPs.

as long as engine works with FQDN it’s ok

We are yet to apply the 3.6.6 patch on Engine and Nodes.

that may help with some of the issues above, so please try to do that

We are running a stand alone engine, not a Hosted Engine.

[ovirt-users] Fwd: Struggling to get the network work

Hi,

Just to add on the previous mail, the vNIC is added over a Physical NIC
that does not have any IP address, but enabled and connected.

Hi,

I have a peculiar problem with oVirt 3.6. Any VM connected to ovrtmgmt
is working absolutely fine, bu the VMs (Windows Guests) in different
VLANs say 10, 32, 34, 40, 48 & 69 are not able to even ping their
respective gateways. In other words, network packets are not coming out
of the VMs at all.

1. Our infrastructure consists of Lenovo Flex Chassis with 3 Lenovo x240
Compute nodes. All nodes are up and running and VMs are also created and
guest OS installed.

2. Chassis switch has a trunk port that carries all VLAN traffic.
3. I have created logical networks and added VLAN tags (10, 32, 24, 40,
48 & 69).
4. I have attached the vNIC to each host and assigned static IP in
respective VLANs. For example in VLAN 32, the vNIC is assigned with
172.20.101.70, subnet: 255.255.255.192, Gateway: 172.20.101.65
5. VMs are mapped with respective vNIC and assigned IPs in respective
VLAN. For Example, VM in VLAN 32 has 172.20.101.79 as IP,
255.255.255.192 as subnet and 172.20.101.65 as gateway.

Now, VM is able to ping vNIC in VLAN 32, but neither VM is able to ping
the gateway nor hosts are able to ping vNIC or the VM.

We even attempted with replacing a trunk port with access port, but same
issue continues.

What could have gone wrong? Any thing missing on oVirt configuration?

A quick help is highly appreciated.

this iso file seems to have an issue. Although it boots the server properly
at around 66% into installation, the installer throws up an error - I/O
error, file not found or some thing of this sort. Installation doesn't go
forward at all. We have to power off the server, reboot with CentOS DVD

Are these files proper? Which one should we use?

Hey Anantha,

please use the latest iso from:
http://resources.ovirt.org/pub/ovirt-3.6-snapshot/iso/ovirt-node-ng-installer-ovirt/

http://resources.ovirt.org/pub/ovirt-3.6-snapshot/iso/ovirt-node-iso/
is our vintage image, and it has known problems with some storage
setups.

Let me know if ovirt-node-ng-installer-ovirtworks for yuo.

Greetings
- fabian
