Chuck, You covered one of the biggest mistakes made in fishing poppers. Wait till you can't wait any longer then wait a bit more. The strips generally comes just before the pickup. There are EXCEPTIONS to the rule though. LOL I have not fished them for trout so things may be different. Tony ---
