The Sony DCR-TRV25 is a DV camera with an "i-link" port which is the
same thing as a Firewire port. They just need a regular 4-pin to 6-
pin Firewire cable. Hook it up to their Mac and start iMovie. They'll
be good to go.

I noticed right away that h.264 gave a noticeably lower contrast
image. Though Apple seems to have fixed that issue with QT 7.0.3. I
don't have that problem with h.264 any more.

If you look at the bottom of your wordpress user profile there is a
checkbox about using the rich text editor. Uncheck it and you should

It looks like the image on your website is a .gif that uses only 79
colors. The best way is to save it as something uncompressed like
a .tif, .psd, .png and then resize and compress for the web as a .jpg
in a program like PhotoShop.

Hey Richard,
It's the bits and bytes thing. Version 4 of FCP measured things in
bytes and the new FCP 5 does it in bits. So take 60 and multiply by
8 - stick 480 in the box. If the video is complex you may need
upwards of 700 kbits/sec.
