You might try this. Go to settings. Then go to reminders. It will tell you
to set a default list for reminders. I was having a problem with reminders.
For some reason, when I would tell Siri to set a reminder, she would put it in
another list. Then I would never get a notification
The app is pretty rudimentary but I generally have a lot of success using it. I
do see that I have one update for it so I’m gonna try that see if that helps.

I also had her set a reminder every five days to change my hearing aid
batteries. She did it just fine.

You can use Siri to create reminders, so that's a way to set them up with your
voice. Reminders play an alarm sound and then stop, so you don't need to do
anything when the alarms go off.
