OK, here is a theory. Although I have no way to compare the two Siri female voices, as I listen to the new one, especially through very good headphones, I think they have lowered the pitch of the voice. There is more resonance in the female voice than there used to be, at least as I remember. So

Unfortunately, the only way to fix the playback issue is for NLS to put an update out for the BARD Mobile app. However reporting the issues to NLS and/or your regional library always helps. I never had much luck with the Bard app being controlled in the background. I haven't used it for quite a while, though. In iOS8, background apps that play media sometimes get pushed out and thus remotes won't control their media anymore. This might be what's happening. At least, it happens to V

I have the same problem with the bard app. Sometimes the two finger double tap works and sometimes it does not. Same goes for buttons on headphones that are wired or wireless. It’s hit and miss. Re installing the app did not fix the problem for me, nor does restarting my phone. Christina -- T

Do you have play in background on in the settings? Also, the BARD app pobably needs an update to insure the two finger double tap or using the button on earphones to work consistently. The book should pause during notifications, if it doesn't, report that to BARD. I keep notifications turned off

First, clear out your app switcher and at the very least power your phone off and then back on. Then, either flip the mute switch into the mute position, or go into settings and set your phone to vibrate on ring. Then, tilt guidance should work. I've never had good luck with automatic mode. You h
