Which phone do you have? I think the technique might be different with the phones with no home button. Try holding the side button for 6 or 10 seconds and the power off button should show up on the screen. Try flipping the mute switch down when you turn it on and see if you don't get a slight

Hi, I checked my iPhone 6S, and yes, the update was done. The same happened with contacts. First I updated the contacts in the SE using the Mac, and when I tried to update the contacts in the 6S, the contacts were already updated. Perhaps all this happened through iCloud. I’m just guessing.
