For what it's worth, a friend of mine has also experienced this issue
with an iphone 7, because of this issue and the fact that nearby

Irobot has really fallen behind with the Roomba compared to other
manufacturers, the battery life and navigation are not nearly as good as some
other brands. I would suggest one of the Roborock robots, the navigation and
battery life are much better than any Roomba, they clean really well and

Nearby Explorer was definitely the best GPS app for getting location
information. It’s a shame that development of that app was discontinued. I
would say the two best apps for that now are Blindsquare and Good Maps
Outdoors. For navigation I think Google Maps is one of the best choices.
