One of my google phones has it on the power button as mentioned in my last
email, and the other has it on the screen. I'm not sure what's taking apple so

That is simply speculation at this point, it is probably more likely they would
come up with under-screen Touch Id which means that you put your finger on a
certain area of the screen and that the scanner is embedded
That makes sense.

A couple of things to try:
* Try holding it at arms-length away from your face, straight out in front
of you.
* If you are wearing glasses, try with them off.
* If you did not register face ID that way, try registering it again.
* Try using a microfiber cloth to wipe off the screen.
